We stayed here for 3 nights to witness the Apr 8 total solar eclipse with our children and another family with small kids. I can tell you this was one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed at. Danielle, a staff member and our main contact while on the property, was absolutely amazing with accommodating all of our needs, brought us extra chairs and helped set up for the big event. Is so beautiful out here and the building is so thoughtfully crafted and well maintained. I am blown away and my family and friends will never forget this amazing experience, made possible by this awesome property.

Great Weekend
We stayed for the weekend to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday. Went on tours at Garrison Distillery and 5 different wine tastings in the Hye- Fredericksburg corridor. Also great dinners in Fredericksburg. Enjoyed evening and mornings at the Lodge watching the abundant trophy white-tail deer and baby fawns that this ranch is famous for. You will love staying here. I highly recommend it.

Simply the best.
The property was absolutely amazing. It was very peaceful and quiet. The house was beautiful and very well stocked. There was a lot of activities and games to play as well. This is the best rental property I have ever stayed at. If you like the country, you will love this place.

Beautiful lodge retreat
The photos look really nice but it really does not do the place justice. The 1st thing we noticed is how extremely clean the place is. The decor is phenomenal and the attention to every detail made our stay that much memorable. They entrainment areas inside and outside are so much fun. We didn't have plans to use the hot tub but the host was so awesome and had cleaned, filled and set the tub to the perfect temperature, we ended up doing a Walmart run to get some shorts to take a dip. We are glad we did. 1/2 the party was able to relax in the hot tub while the other half did the grilling and hung out. The shuffleboard was so much fun. One of the nights most of our friends were gathered around the fireplace (which is started with a flick of a switch) listening to music and my husband and I were enjoying a competitive game of shuffleboard. At first we were without music since our speaker was being used by the group which stayed by the fireplace. We didn't want to spend time figuring out the speakers in the house. I'm glad we did! It was so easy, just install an app on your phone and the Sonos speakers sound so great, we are planning on get some for our home. Fully stocked kitchen, linens and towels. We were a party of 4 couples and never felt crowded. They house if very spacious and so nice we are already planning our next visit. Thanks much to the host, you have an awesome setup.

Spring break at White Ghost
We were a party of 12, mostly adults with two teenagers. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and the cabins were pretty clean and well-decorated. Pam is very responsive and she accommodated our late checkout request (by 2 pm) upon request. We definitely would love to visit again.

Excellent getaway
This was the getaway we needed! Perfect place out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Very relaxing and we enjoyed watching the deer. The house is gorgeous and our boys enjoyed playing pool and relaxing in the hot tub at the end of the day. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property. Vacation on vacation.
We loved our stay at White Ghost . It was 30 mins from Fredericksburg which was fine for us we aren’t a all day walk around and shop crew. Although we did spend a couple of days doing it. We didn’t get to climb Enchanted Rock because we didn’t get reservations in time but Cross Mountain was. Nice quick trail. The Hot tub and Shuffle board were a huge hit. We loved the view of the property and the Lodge was a work of art essentially. Everything was top of the line and well taken care of. The property manager met us at arrival and that was so very helpful. We would stay here again.

The lodge was fantastic. The design and unique details were gorgeous. We had a group of 7 who love playing games, so the pool table, corn hole and shuffleboard table were perfect! We also had a wonderful meal at The General Store close by. Definitely recommend this place!

Best Birthday Trip Ever!
I love everything about this property, one of my favorites and I have stayed at several places. Danielle was amazing and very helpful. The wildlife was a plus and our group had so much fun playing pool, listening to music on the nice speaker system that was inside and outside, and getting in the hot tub. We are planning on returning and want to book the wildlife tour.

The property was beautiful and so was the house and amenities we were however shocked that this was a conjoined property that had a shared common area rather than a private ranch home. Had I known that in advance we would have booked both cabins. I am thankful the other guests were okay with this otherwise this would have severely impacted the quality of our stay. The listing has since been updated, but we were shocked to find out this detail only when we arrived

Beautiful lodge and outdoors.. super comfy beds. Has everything one need to feel right at home. Covered porch and fireplace amazing. Our little girls enjoyed so much observing the wild life and chickens and cows. Great stay!

Girls Trip
My friends and I were greeted by Beth, who was very kind and showed us around....plus, Beth answered all our questions at check in and when we needed assistance during our stay. White Ghost Ranch is a beautiful place, very clean with so much character. The kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we planned to cook. My friends and I needed a weekend getaway to relax and this was the perfect place. I would recommend this place to anyone desiring peace with some country luxury.

Great stay
We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was impressively immaculate, including the outdoor space. The property was even nice in person. The management and owner were super friendly, easy to get in touch with and quick to respond to all questions. The cooking equipment was a little limited but the property was beautiful and had everything we really needed for our stay. The community space is shared which is included in the listing but we had overlooked it.

A peaceful retreat
This property is divided into 2 homes, with a shared outdoor area in the middle. I rented both homes for privacy and both homes were spotless and beautiful. We chose this property so that our children could roam, but please note that there are restrictions as to how far you can walk due to their deer breading business. I took various outdoor games, had an itinerary away from the home and there isn't enough words I could use to describe how wonderful the property manager Beth was the entire stay. Please eat at the general store, everything the chef makes is amazing!

Great place for a getaway!
We had a great time, place was nice and clean, plenty of space, and owners were really nice. Only problem was check-in, kinda felt like we weren’t gonna have a place, because it had been double booked. I’m sure that problem has been fixed.

Perfect Getaway
Amazing hosts/owners that treated us like family! Kids had a great time feeding the baby deer, playing shuffleboard, touring the property and fishing in the stocked pond. The property is so beautiful and the house was stunning with amazing craftsmanship and details that you won’t find anywhere else. Great house, helpful owner
Loved the house: spend most of our time under the large covered outdoor space playing pool and listening to music on the Sonos. The kids got to feed baby deer which they loved! The cabin is more of an old school hunting lodge so we shoved most of the kids in there (3 families - 5 adults and 7 kids shared both the house and the cabin). But the main house is beautiful! Kitchen had pretty much everything except a coffee maker and sharp knives (but no rental ever has decent knives!). We had a blast and may we’ll return!

White Ghost Ranch is the quintessential Texas hill country experience.
We had a wonderful time at White Ghost Ranch. Pam and Brent have built an amazing experience and they are exceptional hosts. We had 8 people and the place felt spacious and comfortable with an upscale Texas Hill County Vibe. The drive out is absolutely gorgeous and it got even better once we arrived. They provide concierge level service with on-property staff but we never saw them until we asked for something (via text). It was the perfect balance of privacy and top-notch service. We will be back for sure.

Upscale accommodations... quite and peaceful!
Our group of 5 adults really enjoyed our stay at this ranch! We were doing lots of activities all weekend in Fredericksburg so I wasn't sure about the 30 minute drive into town. First off, the drive is incredibly beautiful... exactly what you expect from the Hill Country in the spring. Plus, Fredericksburg and the wineries can get quite crowded and busy. This ranch was a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The decor is rustic, yet very upscale. I would for sure stay here again.

Beautiful ranch home in a magnificent hill country setting.
We had a wonderful stay at the White Ghost Ranch - it was my family’s first Christmas after my father passed away and it ended up being the perfect setting. The house was extremely clean, well stocked with everything we needed, there was a surplus of amenities and the hosts were very nice and responsive. The beds were comfortable and the architecture is magnificent. All the Christmas decorations and other little touches just put everything over the top. We will definitely plan to stay at this property again for our next small holiday get together!
