My #1 hotel as a local! I’ve stayed at this gem a few times now. Special shoutout to Madelaine for making my boyfriend’s birthday extra special. Excellent customer service! It’s the personal touch that separates this hotel from others. This hotel sits on the beach which is rare for San Diego. The hotel deck has 2 fire pits & plenty of lounge chairs. The rooms are all beautifully updated with modern amenities. The staff are all kind & welcoming. Can’t wait to stay again!

Del Mar is beautiful. It was nice to come back to a nice quiet setting after being out all day cite seeing. The staff was so friendly and made some great recommendations to visit. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Clean, spacious, and modern furnished room. Hotel right on the beach. Very courteous and accommodating staff. Restaurants next door and within walking distance. Beautiful location. We did not get room service for some reason but stayed only 2 nights so not a big deal.

The location is spectacular! The staff- Brittany and Maddie were super friendly and helpful with possibly extending our stay. The room was clean and quiet. The view of the ocean from the outside seating area was perfection! The option to use paddleboards and boogie boards was a bonus! The Surfliner train does run through but it wasn't too loud (couldn't hear with the windows closed). The hotel is close to many eateries (love that). Overall, was a great stay and will be back!

If you are on the first floor you can hear every movement from your upstairs neighbor. I try to stay her for work because it’s the closest best option for me.

This little hotel is an absolute jewels. We’re in town for a seminar and couldn’t get a room at the venue so we tried it his hotel. It is right on the beach. A tiny little perfect place. Clean and updated rooms, very friendly reception, cappuccino station available and bathrobes to relax. Poseidon restaurant is next door for a great dining experience. The only thing I wish this hotel had are balconies facing the ocean. We will definitely return.

I love staying at this hotel it is always clean and beautiful. The location is amazing! The only thing I hate is that they have those new fashionable sliding doors on the bathrooms. So you really don't have privacy in the bathroom at all. I'm not sure why these are a trend in a lot of hotel updates now. They really make it unappealing.

This is an amazing place to stay. We enjoyed it very much! We had a few issues with clarity on their pet policy (one staff member told us it was ok to leave our dog unattended in the room, another scolded us for doing precisely that for a little over an hour while we went for dinner). Overall it was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it. Definitely would stay there again.

My booking was completely messed up; poor communication as no note was made regarding my request for a lower level Queen room booking. I was assured that a note was made in the file. When I and my companion arrived, the only room they had downstairs (I have bad knees and going upstairs would be extremely painful for me) was a single King room. My companion was so unhappy with the unsatisfactory arrangement that she left in the middle of the night. I had to get up, check out in the middle of the night and try to find my companion, who was very angry, and never did find her as she would not answer her cell phone. Apparently she made her way back to her home location with the assistance of a police officer. She was angry with me for the room booking snafu and would not answer her cell phone. I was unable to assist her because of this, and my vacation was completely ruined because of this booking error.
