Welcome to a lovely vacation home in southeastern Öland, with fantastic views of bird-filled coastal meadows, the sea, Stora Alvaret, and Eketorp’s ancient fortress in picturesque Össby—one of the few villages on eastern Öland that isn’t situated along the main road but stretches down to the water.

This vacation home is perfect for those who want to enjoy nature. It’s just 200 meters to the sea and the same distance to the village restaurant. You can enjoy a stunning view to the north, and just over a mil away lies Öland’s southern tip and the Ottenby Bird Station—Sweden’s best area for birdwatching. Eketorp’s ancient fortress is just over a kilometer away.

Enjoy a two-story house with five rooms, a kitchen, two bathrooms, and a small, cozy garden located in the “middle village” of Össby. The upper floor offers a magnificent view. The property is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet or for enthusiastic birdwatchers.

Enjoy amenities such as municipal water, fiber-optic internet, and Wi-Fi, heat pump heating, and a TV with many channels. Upstairs, you’ll find two smaller bedrooms, each with a single bed (105 cm), while a bedroom with a double bed (160 cm) is located downstairs. There are also two inflatable beds, if needed! Don’t forget to bring your own bedding!

Upstairs, there’s a large, bright room with a sofa and dining table, while downstairs you can relax in the living room with a large sofa and TV. There’s a larger shower and toilet upstairs and a small toilet downstairs with—admittedly a bit cramped—another shower.

In the small garden, framed by a lilac hedge, there’s a simple patio with four chairs (cushions included) and a table. In the storage shed, there’s a grill and a bike, both of which you’re welcome to borrow. Just south of Össby is a sandy beach with great swimming. Anyone who spends a week’s vacation in Össby usually wants to come back.
