Loved this place! When we arrived there were fresh scones by the very complete coffee bar! and a half a dozen eggs in the refrigerator! The apartment was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed, and in perfect order! It was a very comfortable place for my husband and I to stay while visiting family in a nearby town over the Christmas holidays! Loved having a little deck outside, private, and comfortable. Their dog Maya is absolutely beautiful, and came up the stairs one morning… Just to lay in the sun and look at us through the window… She's so sweet! check out the wood sculptures made from dead trees, pretty amazing work! Michelle and Billy are excellent hosts and very responsive to anything you could possibly need. We will definitely be back!

Probably the most thoughtfully designed and well stocked rental I have ever stayed in. It has everything you could possibly want/need, it was super clean, the owners are so kind and communicative, and my husband and I fought over the absolutely delicious homemade blueberry scones that were left for us. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Decatur!!

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a one night stay in town for a kids competition, but wish we could have stayed longer! The unit was perfect for our family of four. It was so clean and well equipped for us to cook and relax. My kids loved meeting Maya(the welcome pup), seeing the wood sculptures and checking out the chicken coop. The farm fresh eggs and scones were a wonderful surprise! We will be looking for a reason to come back.

This was a perfect spot to stay on our trip to town. We had a great time at the Eagle's Nest. Our host, Michelle, was very accommodating and friendly. The property was clean and beautiful. The interior was immaculate. The tree carvings are amazing and Maya the Great Pyrenees welcomed us and escorted us to the front door :). We will definitely remember this place and return when we visit the LBJ Grasslands again! The Eagle’s Nest is honestly one of the best cared for and cleanest short-term rentals that I’ve ever stayed at! Michelle provided all the little things that make a stay extra enjoyable: cotton swabs and floss sticks in the bathroom and a stacked coffee bar with fresh scones. We will definitely stay here again!

Wow! Michelle has absolutely thought of every single detail as a host. Her thoughtfulness is beyond expectations! We had homemade blueberry scones that were so yummy I would book again just to enjoy them! There were fresh farm eggs in the fridge and so many delicious tea and coffee options! I am particular on bedding and her selection was perfect. We were kindly allowed an early check in and this cute tree cabin was the perfect romantic getaway! We will definitely come back again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Eagle’s Nest property for a weekend getaway, and I must say, it was a truly wonderful experience.
