Pensions in De Karpaten

'Nice pension in traditional mountain style. Our room was very nicely decorated and we had our own balcony. Our bathroom was equipped with a luxurious shower. Very warm and helpful hospitality. Ample breakfast. We also had dinner for 8 EUR per person, which was traditional Romanian and also very ample. The dining room has a nice fireplace where always a fire was burning (in October, maybe it is different in July). We felt very comfortable an will return to that place.'

Généreux lunch à emporter. Milles mercis d'avoir mis spontanément à notre disposition 2 couvertures pour atténuer le froid et la neige. Parking gratuit et protégé.'

'I booked a 3 night stay through Expedia for a friend. The hotel was close to the airport in an industrial area without anything to do outside. Very noisy guests came in at 3 am waking up everyone. The whole atmosphere was terrible. Hate to give them a bad review. Hotel manager was nice and tried to make good offering to change the room but this was not going to help any. This is not a place you want to spend 3 nights in. Friend moved to another hotel the next day and I forfeited 2 nights pay....

'Prima, pas gerenoveerde accomodatie vlakbij het station. Een groot winkelcentrum op een paar minuten lopen en de binnenstad is in minder dan 10 min te voet te bereiken. 24-uurs receptie. Goed ontbijt voor € 9,00. Een klein nadeel is het ontbreken van een lift. Dit staat echter duidelijk vermeld in de beschrijving. Ook de overgordijnen zouden wat groter mogen om de kamer bij daglicht donker te houden (in juni is het heel vroeg licht in Kosice).'

'Good location and clean room. Staff is very helpful. Bathroom needs better maintenance. The bathroom flooring tiles are very slick, pay attention when you take a shower, use slippers.'
