Potential to be a 5 star hotel. Put us in room 140. This room is right next to an elevator as is room 129. The mechanical room is right next to each of these rooms. They had complaints from other people who stayed in those rooms and failed to do anything about it. This room should not be given to guests. If they want to soundproof it or change these rooms to storage areas they should. Not as a room for guests. We had to hear the elevator go up and down all day and all night. Shame on Hampton Inn for putting people in these rooms at full rate prices. People should get a discount for putting up with the noise. Beware of these rooms!!! Man at front desk did not tell us about breakfast , maid service, etc. The hotel is easy to Flagler Street, with plenty of stores, restaurants, etc. Room was a nice size, bed was comfy, pillows were good, plenty of bath towels should have 4 hand towels, we got two. The shower was good. Should give the small soaps and small shampoo/conditioners as a nice touch. Should put a small table on both sides of the bed for storage. They had a nice round table with only one chair, should have two. Most people travel in pairs. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices. I would go back here but I would be wary of rooms 140 and 129 in the future. Please Hampton Inn rectify the elevator problem. It is unfair to guests to hear that noise all night when they are on vacation.
