Hôtel près de Dalemain Country Park (Penrith)

« The room was small but very well maintained and clean. The breakfast you could not fault, although you had to give your choice on the night before which personally not in favour of. The staff were very attentive, pleasant and efficient. The situation in the middle of the village ideal and parking on site, excellent. No dogs allowed on site which I am in favour of. »

« Such a treat! Comfortable bed, great dinner and chance to sit by the fire. Love it in summer and in winter! »

« Hôtel agréable situé dans un petit village, au-dessus d'un pub. Personnel très aimable. Parfait pour une hâlte d'un soir. »

After storms, we had a short power cut and I almost expected to hear a scream from a maid discovering a crime and Hercule Poirot appearing. The food was reasonable, if not sparkling but we did have a powercut in the middle of dinner and they coped admirably. The staff seemed quite...

« Food was good. Luxury room was not luxurious. Very small. Carpets on stairs need seeing to as are a trip hazard. Bar area, windows need a very good clean! Cobwebs and dust must have been there quite a while. »
