Come explore what Southern Illinois has to offer for your next family getaway! The "GATE HOUSE AT THE LAKE" has it all! 3 bedrooms with 1 king bed (master), 1 queen bed (2nd bedroom), 2 queen beds (brand new 3rd bedroom), 2 pull out queen sleepersofas (family room), 1.5 baths, Beautiful great room with screened in back porch, Dock with electricity, Beautiful Lake Views facing the main lake channel, Fire Pit, Wifi, Outdoor Grill, garage, Washer/Dryer, Flat Screen TV's/DVD player, Direct TV including the Sports Package, Fully stocked (just bring food and toiletries), all new furniture. The home is on one level with only one step to get into the home. The land is flat to the dock with no steps!!!!

The house has been freshly painted, brand new A/C, new kitchen cabinets and countertop, and new tile on the patio. New front exterior and new third bedroom are now complete in 2021!!!!!!!!!

There is dedicated internet for each of our guest homes!!!! 6 mbps down and 1 mbps up and also a second line that is shared between our 3 homes that is an additional 6 mbps down and 1 mbps up!!!

We also rent the house directly next door which has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and sleeps 8 also (vrbo 710693)!!! And we have another home just down the street with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths (vrbo 9134691ha)! Ask about renting multiple homes for a discount!!!! All of our homes are located at the mid point of the lake. See the attached photo showing the location of all our rental homes at the lake.

Boat rentals are available around the lake. Check out https://lakeofegyptpontoonrentals.com and tell them Roman sent you!!!

Macks Marina and Egyptian Hills Marina also have boat rentals and you can launch your boat from both of them and also Pyramid Acres for a small fee.

We do provide two kayaks and two paddleboards for each home. Please bring your own life vests as we do not provide those.

We do require a $100 Damage Deposit. This will be returned to you immediately upon our cleaning team reporting no damage, no excess cleaning, and no excess trash.

Highly recommended spacious home with waterfront access steps away with amazing sunsets. It had all the basic needs with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Dollar General is conveniently nearby for any supplies. Lake of Egypt is centered nicely to be able to enjoy Shawnee National Forest that has so many opportunities to enjoy the most beautiful trails in Illinois. Would love to come back to take advantage of the lake for boating and fishing (stayed in March).

THE HOST WAS ATTENTATIVE. THE HOUSE ON THE SUFACE APPEARED TO BE CLEAN UNTIL I GOT IN THE SHOWER. THE LINER AND CURTAIN HAD PINK SLIME AND STAINED WITH SOAP SCUM AND STUFF. I NOTIFIED THE HOST AND A NEW CURTAIN ARRIVED WITHIN HOURS. THE HEAT DID NOT WORK IN ONE BEDROOMS AND THE BABY MONITOR ALERT KEPT GOING OFF THE TEMP WAS 60 DEGREES. THE BASEBOARD HEATERS WERE A CONCERN WITH FURNITURE SETTING TOO CLOSE TO THEM. UPON CHECK OUT WHEN THE LINENS WERE TAKEN OFF THE BEDS THE PILLOWS WERE NASTY! STAINED AND VERY WORN. I SHOULD HAVE CHECKED THEM WHEN I DISCOVERED THE SHOWER SITUATION..... I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY FOR FUTURE RESERVATIONS AND I FEEL AN ADJUSTMENT FOR OUR STAY IN IS ORDER.

The house was very dusty. Dishes needed to wash prior to using and the floors where really dirty.The 1/2 bathroom door needs to be fixed and the linen closet in the full bath you need to be 6 feet tall to open it from the very top.

The house was nice and served our purpose. Everyone had a place to sleep and the living room is spacious. Kitchen is a bit small, but I was there to relax, not be a short order cook lol! The view is beautiful and the kids had fun paddling around on the provided kayaks and paddleboards.

Really lovely home and access to the lake.Really perfect for 2 sisters, roomy and 2 baths.It took a while to figure out the AC. There are so manythermostats.Our biggest problem was figuring out the Direct TV.We didn't have a 10-year-old to help. A step by stephandy instruction sheet would really have helped.I couldn't find a hair dryer, but I'm not sure one was listed.Thank you for a pleasant break.We liked it a lot and might be back.

This was a beautiful and very clean property. There were some very soft spots on the decking leading to the stairs on the patio. Wood was rotting and primary bathroom closet door was broken (track issue). Loved my stay at this beautiful and extremely clean place with the best views and access to the lake despite any of those issues, I would stay here again! Beds were very comfy and clean. Communication with property manager was awesome I grew up on this lake, there is not one bad thing about it other than I had to go back up north.

This house is advertised as able to sleep 10, but if you have ten you’d be constantly fighting over the one bathroom. It was 100 a night so it was definitely worth it, but I wouldn’t pay anymore. Beds were fine. Deck was not cleaned off. It also looked like a DIY cheap remodel. That being said, for 100 a night, and if you want a fishing cabin for the guys this is a good pick. It has a nice dock for your boat also.

We watched sunsets and paddled kayaks when at the house. Daily we hiked trails at Garden of the Gods, Ferne Cliffe, and Giant City. House was roomy. We were fine with 1 bath because only 3 of us.Host was great.

Lovely Lake View and Access

This lakeside home was a nice get away. Star/Sky watching, gorgeous lake, Fern Clyffe State Park has trails, including wooded trail circling lake and walks to a natural waterfall. Enjoyed the quiet and wildlife.
