Yes, we were very happy that we could bring our elderly dog. We did bring a stool for getting her into the car, but a little stool to help her (and old people like us) get into the high bed would be nice.

The cottage was very cozy and really relaxing. Its a great place to stay if you want to relax in the woods and swim in the river.Our family had a great time.

After reading all of the rave reviews I was actually a little disappointed for the price point. I didn’t realize there is another rental property right next door, and didn’t realize the “private beach” along the river would be taken up by a group of loud kids during my stay. But my dog enjoyed swimming there and that made it worth the trip. Also, for nearly 300 per night (Vacasa fees are outrageous) they could provide coffee. Luckily I brought my own. Instead they leave you a cleaning package with dishwashing and laundry detergents…but there isn’t a dishwasher or washer/dryer. Just a bit off the mark but I find Vacasa to be that way. I prefer VRBO which is how I booked my stay…but it flipped over to Vacasa which is annoying. The setting is lovely, but I have stayed at better places with many more amenities so wouldn’t choose here again.

Cozy and Warm - and no Cell Phone Service!

It was a great retreat for hardworking women who needed a beautiful setting, all sorts of pampering and a chance to unwind in God's beautiful surroundings! We came prepared to make a fire, but were so well taken care of, we just left the wood behind for the next inhabitants. I hope they enjoyed it! A few things we thought could make the stay even better: Scrubber pads for scrubbing the pans (sponges just don't cut it - though they were new and fresh!), Aluminum foil (for keeping baking clean), some Zip-lock baggies for left overs and we were hoping you could put in a hide-away bed or possibly a Murphy bed in that little area by the bathroom? The place really only sleeps 4 adults - or maybe a roll-out cot, etc., for people who have leg or knee trouble getting up or out of things? Again, we loved the location, warmth and history shared on the site and plan on booking it again once or twice in the coming year 2025. Thank you! VKS and Friends PS - we advise people NOT to try to get there at night... we missed our turn off twice - in the rain - in the dark - and spotty cell connection for GPS.

An absolute gem!

This cabin in the woods feels like a home away from home. With easy river access and immediate nature surrounding, this home is the definition of peace. When we stayed, it rained and we also got to see the sun bounce off all of the trees and the beautiful river. My dogs were so happy at this property and seeing them happy made it all worth it. I enjoyed not having cell service and using the wifi for night time entertainment. The hot tub was perfection and the bed was delightful. I’m excited to encourage friends to also check it out in the near future. This could easily be a go to spot for year round relaxation.

Babymoon

Loved staying at this home! My husband and I came for our babymoon with our two dogs and the house was perfect for us. The kitchen was definitely limited on essentials like pots and pans but we managed. Overall lovely stay thank you again!

Gorgeous

This location is breathtaking. You're completely surrounded by tall trees and green moss, and the river is just the right size for a leisurely float. We had a few issues with things not being clean when we arrived, and wished the trails were a little more clearly marked, but overall it was an incredible experience. We hope to come back next year.

Magical getaway

I took my best friend on a 2 day girls trip for her bday. This house was so warm and cozy. We were snowed in but didnt care. We lost power a couple of times from snow storm but everything stayed nice and warm. Neighbor came to check on us which was very sweet. We were sad to leave.

Lovely but short on details

Beautiful setting and craftsmanship. However, we entered and the fireplace had not been cleaned. It reeked of dust and ashes and I had to clean it and air it out as my wife has asthma. The window shade facing the other cabin in our bedroom was broken and lying on the sill. We had to stuff six pillows in the window. In the NW we like our coffee. We were hoping for two cups each a day for the two of us or eight for two days. We were provided two. The cabin is very nicely done, it’s the details that set places apart and for the price we were hoping for attention to details.

Great getaway spot in lush green surroundings

Loved my stay here! I had originally booked for my spouse and two dogs however due to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to join me. Nonetheless, I made that best of the peaceful, tranquil and absolutely beautiful space. The place was very clean and had all the luxuries. I enjoyed the fireplace and the stones which where hand picked which made it. The hot tub was perfect and the sound of the river never got old. I would absolutely go back and actually intend to very soon- hopefully next time with my honey and pups.

One of our Faves!

We've rented this property multiple times & know we will be back. It's cozy, comfortable & quiet. You aren't too far from civilization, but it sure feels like it, so it's a nice balance. Re: cleanliness, we noticed a lot of cobwebs in the house. Not entirely unexpected given the location & we never saw a single spider, but it did impact how clean the house seemed. Not a concern for us, but might be for others. There were also dishes left on the drying rack from a previous occupant. Again: not a deal breaker for us, but might be for others.
