About the home
“Raywood” is a large, pet friendly home in Cowes, perfectly set up for large family groups. It is ideal for boating and fishing enthusiasts - Cowes boat ramp is just a 3-minute drive away; and for golf lovers, both Phillip Island Golf Club and the Aussie Golf Ranch are within a 5-minute drive. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below.
Indoor Areas
Upstairs comprises the open plan kitchen / dining / living area (with TV& DVD player), leading out to a balcony. The master bedroom comes with an en-suite (shower & toilet), and there are two more bedrooms, a bathroom (with shower) and a separate toilet.
Downstairs contains a further two bedrooms, another living area (with TV & DVD player leading onto another deck, a bathroom (with bath over shower plus toilet) and a fully appointed laundry. Lastly, you will find the hero of the home - the vast games room containing a pool table, a table-tennis table, ample seating, TV, another fridge, plus a huge library of books, games, and DVDs for you to choose from.
Outdoor Areas
Leading from the downstairs undercover decking, there is a huge, fully fenced backyard ideal for pets, family games and fun in the sun. Upstairs there is a balcony (with BBQ). There is ample off-street parking at the home for at least 4 cars plus a boat!
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, an Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, sandwich press, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven with gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home contains features 6 split-system reverse cycle units. One is in the downstairs games room, one in the downstairs living room (that comfortably heats and cools the 2 x downstairs bedrooms), one in the upstairs living room and one each in the three upstairs bedrooms. There are an additional 6 pedestal fans for use where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 11 beds plus 3 extra mattresses, accommodating up to 17 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed and one Single bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed and one set of Single bunks
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One set of Tri-bunks
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One set of Single bunks and a trundle bed
Bedroom 5 (Downstairs): One Double bed
There are also 3 Single bed mattresses available to accommodate larger groups
Please note: The Tri-bunks have a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
