We have been all up and down the side of this mountain and river hotels. Camping. This time we took the entire family from little kods and puppies to the oldest kids like me. The outside rec are is incredible pooltables roulette wheels. Even taught the littles about black jack.. firewood stoves and smores on the river back and forth from skiing to trout fishing on the river. This place was just what my family and iwere looking for. We found our second home in this olace for sure.. id recommend to anyone .. we absolutely loved it. Thank you so much. Looking forward to our next trip with you guys!!
We came for Christmas to meet family. The house was wonderful. The property management was very responsive and even set up a Christmas tree and lights for us! We had plenty of room, and the space was great for a large family. The river and the location. Of the home was also amazing. We had a great experience and highly recommend this property!!!! Weâll be back!
Ramiro was a kind and generous host. He responded to all my questions and made us feel welcome at his property. It felt like we were staying with a friend.
The property is dated but very comfortable and the fire pit by the river is amazing.
Not secluded but appreciated the property location on the river. The gas station across the road was very convenient for last minute things that we forgot. The house was a great set up - everyone had their own room and space. The patio was perfect with two grills and a gorgeous setting. The barn was awesome - the kids played pool, cards, corn hole etc.
Old house very charming, didnât realize we were going to burn a wood stove to stay warm. We are from Alaska and lived that lifestyle for years so no big deal. City folk may not get it. Gameroom looked like it hadnât been used in forever. Buried in dust and broken Roulettte wheel. That was part of the draw for us. But we managed to have a very good four days in an awesome old houseđ
This home is in the perfect location for all the locations we wanted to see. It was decorated in Christmad magic. Making my grandchildren delighted Santa would find them for sure.
Ray was extremly quick to answer any questions. The home itself was much bigger than it looks. Plenty of rooms and bedding for our family of 8. The surrounding outside area was fantasic. We never got to enjoy the game room but it has something for everyone.
We would love to return during the summer months to take advatage of the outdoor life.
I would recommend this property for anyone who is looking for a bit of a rustic stay. Warm and appealing.
Not as remote as pictures make it seem, but still a nice stay.
When I booked this spot I was expecting to be secluded and away from any sources of light pollution so we could view the Perseids meteor shower. Thereâs a highway directly adjacent to the stream shown in the listing and a small grocery store (and a few more buildings) on the other side of the highway. There are also neighbors immediately on the left of the building. Donât get me wrong. We still had a good time. The stream drowns most of the noise from the highway and the neighbors are quiet. All the supplies needed for grilling, games, and a small fire by the stream weâre readily available. The house was clean, and the mini fridge was fully stocked with water and beer. And the grocery store is convenient. But if youâre looking to be secluded, you may want to find another place. If you do end up choosing this place, donât forget to bring your bear spray, and keep an eye on your pets.
This beautiful older home, sitting as close as you can to the Arkansas River, was our Christmas week stay. At our request, they had the house decorated for Christmas! Everyone loved the game room and the fire pit right next to the river. I contacted our host a couple of times and was quickly helped with my questions. We are already talking about our next visit to this lovely property.
We enjoyed our stay and the location was great. If you are going to raft, ride the train or adventure out in a Jeep, this is a great rental. The house is large and there were only four of us so we had ample space. You can grill outside or cook inside. We enjoyed sitting by the river and listening to the water flow downstream.
Highly recommend this rental.
There is kind of a mud room in the back off the kitchen, that has a very strong unpleasant ordor... and the outside furniture and front patio really needs to be rinsed off for the season... the House and the Barn are amazing...just those two issues should be addressed
We had a great time! The game room was awesome and accommodations were fantastic. The cafe across the street was very convenient, serves good food, and was super friendly. Weâll definitely be back.
The house just melted my historic loving heart. It was so cozy for Christmas. The kitchen is renovated and awesome.
Fire pit was great and the man cave barn was very cool!
General store across the street has everything. The house is close to the road - probably the only negative aspect but Iâd stay there again in a heartbeat.
It was a very nice place to stay. It is an old remodeled house. The TV in the "den" off the living room has a TV but is not hooked up or have any cords to hook it up. The futon is broken so do not sleep or sit on it. We had to put it on the floor in order for my kids to sleep in there. Only 3 of the 5 bedrooms had wall heaters. There is one gas stove for heat and a firewood burning stove. The welcome pamphlet states there are 2 gas stoves. The sitting area by the river was amazing. We loved that area. It is a bit pricey and would not have been able to stay there without splitting it between 3 families. Beautiful home and area. A bit noisy as it is located by the highway. All in all it was a nice place to stay. We would stay there again.
