Beautiful location & ideal layout, but current state not as advertised.Pros:•Nice neighborhood•Waterfront in back•Ideal size & bed/bathroom layout•Kitchen & bar areas, primary bathroom•Good communication from owner•On site access: dock, kayaks, paddle boards, life vests, outdoor games, pool table•Stocked items: clean bedding, towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, coffee, sugar, spices, trash bags, basic toiletries, hairdryers Cons:•house not as clean as pictures, bedding not as nice as pictures, outdoor furniture was much newer in the pictures (some broken)•months or years since it has been cleaned (dirty windows and walls, dusty banister, dirty carpet, dirty bathroom floors, hair & hair pins on the floor, in drawers & cabinets, moldy shower tiles & bathtub, dirty bathroom mats (we washed them upon arrival), back patio dirty beyond typical outdoor environment, broken fan piece on the floor of a bedroom, empty beer bottle inside a bathroom cabinet)•General upkeep not done in months/years (much paint chipped inside along windows & door trims, markings on most walls, a few places where walls were patched but not painted, dishwasher pieced together & we had to fix seal & utensil holder with every use, upstairs toilet flusher came apart, shower curtain moldy, dish towels & washcloths worn, outdoor ceiling fan/lights broken•upstairs deck unusable-blocked off with caution tape•All 3 trundle beds broken

Great house. Great host.

We were in town for a wedding and this house had everything we needed and extras we enjoyed. It was comfortable and fun with room for everyone. The host was helpful and flexible with prompt communication. Would definitely stay here again.

Great house for a big group

We rented this house bc it had ample room for 8 adults and the views of the lake were great. Needed a relaxing weekend to unwind and spend with family. The house was clean, but definitely needs repairs to things. Overall it was a good house and we enjoyed our time together as a family which was the goal.

Great fishing spot

Beautiful property and perfect spot on lake to fish. Property contact very easy to communicate and checked in is a couple times to see if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Lake Weekend

The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. From providing local recommendations to promptly addressing any queries, their hospitality was truly exceptional. The house is as described in the listing and had all the necessities for a weekend away. We had a group of 10 and everyone had plenty of space. The backyard had plenty of space and a great view of the lake. We would definitely rent this house again.

Love this place

This is the third time we have booked this house. It’s always a great time. Plenty of parking for all us and the pool table makes for a great place to hang out inside at night. The weather was amazing and we were able to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake from the back patio.

Family Getaway

Our family stayed here to attend a wedding. We arrived a few days early to make it a mini vacation. The property was perfect for us and the view is amazing. The owner was very accommodating too. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing Conroe Experience

My husband, two boys, in laws, and longtime family friends enjoyed staying at Walden on Lake Conroe. The house was clean upon arrival and had all of the amenities we were looking for. We caught loads of fish, but loved hanging out on the back patio, making memories, and watching the kayakers and boats traveling on the lake. Sunset was especially amazing. The host was so communicative and friendly, and texted immediately whenever we had a question. Would definitely book here again!

Everlasting memories

This house was an amazing space to make ever lasting memories. We actually needed a spacious house that was close to our wedding venue. We had friends and family stay with us and the house accommodated everyone. We had so much fun! I really can’t think of anything bad to say. Spacious, clean, and great location!

Fabulous Family Fun

We so enjoyed our stay at your home. It was the perfect home for our family. I especially enjoyed your spacious downstairs living area where we could all be together. Your patio area was equally as fabulous. Having cornhole there and not having to bring it was an added plus as was having a paddle board. That with our paddle board was perfect. Our 5 grands ranging from 10 to 16 enjoyed our summer lake experience. They are ready to do this again.

Vacation lake house

Beautiful home and location. There were nice touches throughout the home anticipating the needs of the guests. We swam right off the personal dock and had fun on the kayak. The water can be choppy at times so we stayed close to the dock. The water was chest deep. We had lots of fun playing pool in the house. We drove to the community pool (yacht club) and swam for a couple of hours and planned to play pickle ball, but didn't make it after all. There was a card in the welcome binder that we used to gain access to the pool. We ate at the grill restaurant next to the pool and ate outside and watched the glorious texas sunset. We drove 30 minutes to Sam Houston National Park and hiked for an hour and took great pictures. Our only issue during our stay was our interactions with the neighbor. What started as friendly talk became intrusive and then rude. He hurried to our side of the fence insisting that our dogs meet, and touching our dog through the fence without asking. He also called us over to his side of the fence waving his hand rapidly and when we asked him to wait for a moment, he threw up his hands and walked away. He seemed to be in the backyard mostly when we were enjoying the dock and did not respect our privacy. The day we left, the neighbor was rude, telling the landscapers in front of us that we were supposed to be leaving in an hour. There is a gate between the properties in the backyard that can be opened so the landscaper can mow the backyards. The landscaper arrived earlier than the neighbor told us during the week. I spoke with the owner about the situation and she apologized many times and she is addressing the issue with the neighbor. We thought the neighbor was her point of contact, but she indicated that he wasn't and that he may have scheduled them to come earlier and she would have told them not to come do the yard until after our 10am checkout time.

Mostly positive stay

The house is spacious and clean. The host was responsive and helpful. We enjoyed the outdoor deck/seating and being right on the lake. Access to tennis and pickleball was great, and the pool table and corn hole were fun! To improve the experience, though, I would recommend allowing guests to use the boat slip. It was empty during our stay, but the owner doesn't allow guests to use it (although they did provide an alternative tie up approximately 5 minutes away). I'd also recommend getting rid of the carpet on the stairs and upstairs because it's pretty worn and dated.

Great time on the lake.

Fishing was great right off of the property. Access to boating with friends was easy and convenient. Large home for all to do what they enjoyed. Rear patio was a hit. Just wish we could have accessed the TV's more easily with log in/ etc.

Nice place but..

Nice house and location. All 5 pool sticks were missing tips. Owner advised after reservation the dock was not usable. Guidelines on using outdoor grills were too complicated. Since all closets are locked there is no place to hang up any clothing.
