Flats in Colorado Western Slope

'Amazing location just steps to bars and restaurants. Spacious and clean. Owners have clearly tried to remedy some of the prior complaints. Kitchen is all new and well appointed. Rest of unit is tidy and functional. More a suggestion than a complaint but the next investment should be a smarter/newer TV. Not that I wanted to watch a whole lot of TV but I saw 3 remotes and didn’t bother trying. Really loved Basalt and the unit was great!!!!!!'

'Better toiletries. The toilet paper and tissue paper were terrible. The lotion was watered down and the soap was very cheap. The couch and chair had stains all over them. The faucets were plumbed wrong. You had to turn the tub and kitchen sink to cold in order to get hot water. Definitely pay for convenient location with this rental as the rest was sub par. '

'Great location with a beautiful mountain view. The unit is a bit outdated, but the kitchen is well equipped with plenty of supplies. The check-in process was very smooth, and the staff was friendly — we even received our apartment earlier than expected, which was a nice bonus. 'While this rental has a lot of charm, the two drawbacks were the 1.) super creaky floors and 2.) the thin walls. One guest was sleeping on the top floor and reported hearing the guest on the main floor flossing their teeth. Most guests slept with ear plugs. Additionally, the expectations for guests to clean up (start towels in laundry, state the dishwasher, take out the trash, etc.) PLUS the charged clean up fee gets old after awhile. 'This little apartment is in an excellent location in downtown Salida. It is easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops, right on F Street. Also very close to the river and right across the street from Riverside Park. Quite “cozy” but great for two people.'
