Chose the property due to the great rating. DON'T trust that rating. The moment you walked up to the doors you could see it was not going to be good. But let's start with the pros. Front desk was helpful and kind, mini fridge was quite large, bed was ok, there were no bed bugs.The bathroom had a fan! CONS, the front door windows were filthy. Did not have a pleasant smell. Tables in the main area were filthy. Stairs had some sort of white debris on it, It sat there for days, unvaccuumed. Wet towels in the hallway, catching a leak from the coke machine. It was there all 4 days. Hall carpet looked like it had been replaced many moons ago, but when they replaced it they did not bother changing the carpet edging. Not the end of the world, but it most definitely showed how the place was cared for. The doors look like the were the originals from when they built the place and then painted on top of several decades ago. The spots that lost the door molding, they just painted where it use to be. On to the room. NOT CLEAN! Furniture looked like it had been purchased from a garage sale many years ago, and not all from the same sale. There was a lamp and a clock on the one side table, but no outlet to power them. If you moved the shower head it would spray tons of water from the back of the head, all over the place. So don't move the shower head. The A/C rattled all night long. Stains on the thread are sheets and comforter. Breakfast, let's just say we did not eat.

Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. There are not enough nice words to describe this place. Room was clean and the beds were incredibly comfy. It was a large room. We had a suite so it had two beds, a couch, and two bathrooms. We loved it. And the price was amazing for what we got. The guys at the front desk were wonderful, we had a problem with our keys and they were quick to fix it and nice about it. The only suggestion I would have is a little more variety at breakfast. I will say, however, they do have a really cool pancake machine.

Hotel did not return two calls prior to arrival. Expedia did not mention the property was not immediately off the highway as shown on its amp--there is a 15 mile detour. Desk chair missing a roller which caused me to fall and bruise my arm. Mattress was too small for frame and almost hurt myself when I sat on the corner and it collapsed, Door jam and lock area had been tampered and made me feel unsafe.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room/private bathroom/tv were clean and everything worked in it. The complimentary breakfast was good enough and they were open 24 hours for those midnight craves and coffee needs. The property is still being worked on / carpet can use an update and one of the vending machine was not working. Also bring your own quarters and laundry detergent. I loved that I was able wash clothes but these minor things came up, though they helped me out and I left with my laundry done. Maybe they will sell detergent from now on. I already recommended this place to family and I would gladly stay here again. I stayed 3 nights

The service was fantastic, nice & accommodating. Hotel was in process of renovation, however the renovations that already occurred were not great. A few examples: Paint runs, toilet not bolted properly. As far as cleanliness, from a safety perspective was fine. Clean bedding, service areas looked decent. When looking behind items or up high is the opportunity. Dusty from construction. My room had a gross plunger in the restroom. The fresh pancakes were a great addition to breakfast, the taped out of order signs were not.

OLD, DIRTY, AND SMELLY Straight away walking up you can see this is an old hotel that is not well maintained. As soon as you walk in, there is a dank, wet basement smell. This smell permeates the entire place. Everywhere you look the paint is chipping, metal fixtures rusting, flooring chipped, furniture scratched. The room felt and smelled dirty. First off, the blanket/coverlet was not washed. It was covered in stains, so we took it off the bed and just used the sheets. Based on other reviews, we checked the sheets thoroughly for bugs and stains. The sheets appeared to be clean, despite a few hairs. The room smelled like a wet basement. The bathroom wasnā€™t cleaned. There was dirt splattered on the shower wall and floor. There is black mold on the ceiling. We went to target and got Lysol wipes and Lysol spray. I sprayed everything and wiped down all the surfaces. We didnā€™t really feel comfortable in the room, so we hung out at Starbucks just up the road. The chairs in the room both had multiple stains. The carpet has old cigarette burns and looks like it has never been vacuumed. I wore my crocs the entire time I was in the room. We were in town for just one night for a show, and we felt like we could deal with it for the one night. We didnā€™t feel like trying to find another hotel late at night. The bed is so hard, my husband kept waking up every 30 minutes. I woke up a few times. My joints hurt and my hands feel asleep. WAY TOO HARD. STAY AWAY

Friendly. Clean. Quiet. No frills. Affordable. Lobby is clean and uncluttered. Friendly, polite owner. Key card took a few swipes to work. Room was fine. Nice big desk. No remote for the television. All around clean and tidy. Hotel is need of TLC, and renovations are happening. I was not there during work hours, so I don't know how noisy that gets. I would consider staying again.
