'This is my go-to spot for a cheap stay in the City, I've been going here for two decades. Don't expect the Hilton, and there are shared bathrooms and the rooms are small and not the biggest tv, but you get a fridge and a microwave. You can get an iron and board at the front desk and there is an area to iron and wash clothes. It's safe, inexpensive, and once they get to know you, you're treated like family.'

'Not your typical hotel, but I found this hotel a breeze! Art all over the walls and the rooms were done real nicely. Staff are very laid back, friendly and helpful. The hotel is right between Union SQ and China Town, lots of bars, restaurants and ships at your doorstep. Rooms are not big, but I did not visit SF to primarily sit in my hotel room anyway.
