  • Wake to a beautiful sunrise over Lake Huron from your private deck. Listen to the illusive Loon call. Watch the Great Lakes freighters passing between your beautiful sandy beach & Bois Blanc Island in the distance. Enjoy the views of both Mackinaw Island & Mackinac Bridge from your private beach. A little piece of heaven in Northern Michigan.
This cabin offers 3 bedrooms, sleeping loft and 2 full baths. Over 2000 sf of Northern charm with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy fireplace, and plenty of space for everyone. If you choose to enjoy your meals in, there is a large hand made log dining room table to accommodate you and your guests for meals (or play your favorite game). You can also visit one of the fine eateries in the area. Situated halfway between Mackinaw City and Cheboygan, there are plenty to choose from. Visit the Historic Fort Michillamackinac or take the 20 minute ferry ride to magical Mackinac Island for the day. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the Island but there are plenty of bikes to rent there. Horse-drawn taxis or private carriage rides are available or enjoy the Island on foot. Take a ghost tour, rent a kayak or enjoy the bustling restaurants there. If you enjoy history, visit the forts or museum there. You won't be disappointed. This is a great home base for traveling around Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. You can visit Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Indian River, Cross Village, Charlevoix or charming Good Hart and the "Tunnel of Trees" - all within an hour. There is no shortage of things to do or see in the area. Or you can just cozy up with a good book in the privacy of the cabin. There is a 60 mile all-purpose trail that you can access right across the street for biking, hiking or dog walking. It's a great place that you'll want to return to year after year.
    EXCEPTIONAL PROPERTY & LOCATION:
*****Property has been listed on both VRBO (9.8 Rating) & AIRB&B (4.82 Rating) for past 3 years but was listed by property manager and is now offered by responsive owner.

    *WILDLIFE DISCLAIMER*

Coming to beautiful Northern Michigan includes the possibility of wildlife encounters. We have midges, spiders, mosquitos, occasionally black flies and an assortment of other insects. We spray regularly to keep them at a manageable level but we also don't want to damage the fragile ecosystem here. Note that where there is water, there will be spiders. They are very industrious and can build back a knocked down web within a day!
They are also great for controlling mosquitos and wasps, which we appreciate.

We treasure the wildness of the North and perhaps that is what attracts you.

Consider yourself lucky if you catch a glimpse of any of our other wild neighbors - black bear, wolves, deer, elk, coyote, fox, bobcats, porcupine, skunks, raccoons, eagles, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice as well as a massive variety of birds.

We ask you to consider this before booking one of our cottages or cabins.

The presence of wildlife is part of the experience here and does not warrant a refund.
