We loved this property and it was perfect for the two of us. It was set up with everything we needed and extremely clean. Even though it was a little farther off of King Street than we first thought we actually liked being away from the huddle and bustle. Highly recommend.
The unit has a really nice modern vibe in a lovely old Charleston building. Our first impression was that it was too far from the water but we fell in love with the friendly neighborhood that was packed with restaurants, bars and coffee shops. The staff at Duvet was awesome. They responded quickly to our needs with grace and efficiency. I would recommend Duvet to anyone who is looking for a VRBO in Charleston. This group really gets the meaning of great customer service.
A spectacular place for a getaway!! Completely updated, extremely clean, and very easy check in/out process!! Kitchen has everything you need! Plenty of space in bedrooms and bathrooms! Beds were extremely comfortable!! Barbershop in front was not an issue at all (stayed Sat-Mon). Would only say to get to heart of King St and historic downtown - you do have to drive or uber but less than 10 min. Would highly recommend!!!
Property is very nice and not a long walk to downtown/French Quarter. Kitchen is well appointed and master bat was lovely. Unfortunately we visited during a historic winter snow and ice event so the floors were really cold. Overall great spot, would recommend.
Canât beat the location! The house was in walking distance to King St and several coffee/food spots. We enjoyed the neighborhood and how easy it was to get around. The house was very spacious and nice. My only complaint was the ice dispenser on the fridge seemed to be broken and the water dispenser was so slow it almost seemed it was broken too. In addition, you could hear any noise the upstairs tenants made. Not sure if this is all year round, but the construction around the home started very early and was distracting. Other than that, house was great.
We had a wonderful time in Charleston. This property was perfect for my family of 5. Great location, and perfectly arranged for us. I highly recommend and we will use again when we return back.
Very nice place, clean and communication from property management company and follow through. About a 20 min to walk to CofC campus which is manageable. Nice off street parking if you have a car.
We stayed at this home for my sister's 50th. It was lovely, clean, and comfortable. the rooms were exactly as described and access was very easy. It was a bit of a walk for my mom to the main downtown (~1.3 miles) but we all enjoyed and got lots of extra steps!
The online picture shows a typical Charleston side porch home. We drove by it before we noticed the front is actually a Barber Shop, and the driveway to the rear parking was torn up and not usable.
The next door neighbor was kind enough to let us use their driveway to access the rear parking.
I was also surprised to find out we werenât given a key to the front door, but weâre required to use the rear door to access the property.
When we arrived the drive was tore up as they were installing pipe in a sperate unit behind VRBO so we had to find a way into parking. They did bring us parking passes for street parking.
The grey couch in the picture has been replaced by a nice leather couch that unfortunately had a pet urinate on. It needs to be cleaned as the odor is noticeable to our small dog and to us.
The air conditioner outside the master bedroom window so if you are a light sleeper, like me, you may have trouble sleeping on warm nights.
Everything in the unit was lovely. The construction on the street and driveway of our unit was very loud every day and our driveway was blocked but that was not the fault of the owners, just an inconvenience to have our cars blocked in our parking area.
The kitchen pans had food baked on to them and we had to use sos pads to clean them before use and I would also suggest a safety rail on the stairs to the front bedroom. Other than that, everything was wonderful. The StayDuvet staff was so very helpful with all of our issues and I highly recommend staying there
Very clean! Plenty of towels! Bit of a distance from downtown and the college but a nice walk. Management team very responsive and great with communication.
Overall good. Bed comfortable enough. Ammenities as listed and fulfilled all our needs which were minimal. Plenty of towels which was appreciated. Parking good overall but a bit tight for two large SUVs, both apparently dropping kids off at school (We had one and upstairs renters had another). Getting in and out of spot difficult especially with placement of trash/recycling bins. We made it work though. That being said, having parking in Charleston is always a good thing.
I am a nationally recognized touring DJ and I happened to be coming through Charleston with my wife and step son to perform at the Music Farm for my company Emo Night Brooklyn and we were in need of a space to be in town and this place knocked our socks off. The bathroom in the master bedroom with the bath shower combo was the perfect remedy for some sore muscles after a sold out show and a night of jumping and moshing. The neighborhood has a bunch of gems for food and easily in walking distance. Highly recommend if youâre passing through and want to be comfy
The property was in a great location. Unfortunately we ran into unexpected bug issues. The management responded quickly and moved us to another property. It was handled well and we were able to carry on with our vacation as planned.
We really loved the place! It was the perfect size for us and had everything we needed. The bathrooms were clean and beautiful, and we were in a great location. Would definitely recommend to a small group visiting!
This is a very updated property. It was nicely appointed with beautiful glassware, hefty coffee cups (w/coffee) and plenty of silverware. Toiletries were provided (body wash/shampoo/conditioner). Laundry pods, trash bags and paper towels were in the property. Bedding and ceiling fans in both bedrooms created a very comfortable night. Now for the cons: Property was VERY noisy. We were in the 1st floor. We could actually hear conversations from the 2nd floor and the barber shop below. Our sound machine was needed. There is a compressor that goes on about every 15 minutes for about 30 seconds while the barber shop is open. The 1st floor enters in the back of the building. To get to the door, you need to make it down a dirt driveway with stones/concrete/construction debris. Don't try it in heels! I assume when the construction finishes up in the house behind the property, the driveway will be paved and then not an issue. Plan on needing to Uber almost everywhere. Overall we really enjoyed the long weekend :)
As a native Charlestonian I was amazed at the positive changes to this part of the city. Although close to all the normal tourist attractions, it was the quantity and quality of restaurants and wine bars within two blocks of this property. Added benefits include free off-street parking (although we walked to breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday) This property has all you need to make it a new favorite whenever we visit the "Holy City".
