If you come by car this hotel is a very short walk from a parking lot. The breakfast was very good. The staff extremely nice. Great location to walk to sites. It is in an old building and I loved that they kept the look. My only real complaint is the bed is not very comfortable.

Das Hotel ist ideal am Anfang der Altstadt gelegen. Da Parkplätze in der Altstadt Mangelware sind, war die Option, einen Platz auf dem Hotelparkplatz zu mieten einfach genial. Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr hilfsbereit. Das Hotel selbst ist wunderschön.

Ich bewerte nicht die Unterkunft Hotel Ruze in cesky Krumlov sondern expedia. Die Beschreibung der Unterkunft bei Expedia war falsch, unrichtig und fehlerhaft. es sollte sich um ein Hotel (5 Sterne landesintern) mit Restaurant und Bar handeln. Vorgefunden haben wir ein Zimmer zum Schlafen. Kein Restaurant, keine Bar. Meine erste, aber auch einzige Buchung bei Expedia . Expedia stellt eine unrichtige Hotelbeschreibung auf seine Internetseite

If you like to sleep in a former Jesuite monastery with all its medieval charm, this is the right place for you. If you expect modern accommodation, then it’s the wrong place. The hotel is located near the main bus station and just a few meters from the main square. The spa area is small, but you can use the pool anytime. Jacuzzi and massages have to be paid. The breakfast was very good - from fruits to sweets, from bakes beans to muesli. All in all a very charming hotel and we will come back for sure.

Würde es niemals weiterempfehlen. Wir haben dort für 4 Personen gebucht. Leider haben 2 Personen nur einen Ausweis mitgehabt statt eines Reisepasses. Wir haben die Zimmer nicht bekommen, obwohl sie schon bezahlt waren. Sind sogar auf die Polizeistelle in der Krumau gewesen . Die haben dann in Hotel angerufen, und haben gemeint das die unsere Ausweise akzeptieren müssen.Nichts hat geholfen. Wir haben weder das Zimmer noch das geld retour bekommen. Eine bodenlose Frechheit.

In the Czech Republic any citizen (even if Czech) must show, when needed, an identity document and the driving license is not considered a valid identity document for recognition. If you tried to go to the airport, rest assured that they would not accept your driving license as a valid document. So, don't get upset, but the next time you travel (especially to another Country) make sure you have the necessary documents.We are truly sorry that due to this problem (not caused by us, obviously) you were unable to stay in our Hotel. We are keen to follow the rules even to guarantee the safety of our guests so we believe we have only done our duty and it is not our problem if other Hotels around do not respect the rules dictated by the Government.We hope you will have another chance to return to Český Krumlov and we hope to see you in our Hotel, to demonstrate to you that the quality of our services and the courtesy of our staff will leave you fully satisfied at the end of your stay.Best regards

The hotel has an excellent location with a beautiful view terrace of the castle and the museum just across the street. Although, the actual hotel’s terrace which does not have a castle view but a view of the park, we never found open for our use. The hotel has an interesting past which also made the stay fun. The breakfast was fantastic and always well presented and stocked. The only complaint is, our room did not have a shower curtain or glass, so when showering the pressed wood vanity and sink would get soaked—they must have to replace the pressed wood vanities often? Would recommend this hotel.

, The views are fantastic and the staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was good. However, this is not a 4 star hotel. The furniture, carpeting and drapery are old, and tattered. No shower in the bathroom. Just a tub with a shower handle. No shower curtain. Mismatched old tile and fixtures. The halls and side lobby are dark and felt creepy to us.

The hotel is not 5 star. There are no amenities . Breakfast is basic - Same offerings everyday. Room cleaning is in the afternoon - very unusual. They clearly do not have enough staff. The building itself is lovely and the rooms are all different. Be sure to ask for a room with air conditioning !

Receptionist seem to need more training.
After booking the hotel, I sent an email to make a reservation or get some information about parking lot, but did't get any answer from hotel. After arriving at the hotel at dawn without receiving the answer, I asked about the parking lot, and just recevied the answer that "You can find a parking door on the left before crossing the bridge." i was trying to find a parking door about 30minutes but couldnt find it. so i visited reception again, and I showed a Google map and asked again, but the answer was "Find a place where it says "bowling"." If I am working at a hotel, then I would have shown a map and explained the exact location. When I checked in, I showed a European identity card, but receptionist asked to us a passport for checking our identity. it was really embarrassed.(had to explain that Europeans could stay in other European countries with EU Identity card...without a passport. ) At the time of the check-in, receiptionist introduced us to a building on the other side of the assigned room, so we had wander for over 20minutes but couldn't find.... backed to receiption and receiptionist introduced to us correct builiding.... It was a very tired check. Receptionist seem to need more training. The hotel condition and breakfast were wonderful.

Dear Guest,thank you for choosing our Hotel Ruze as your favorite in Cesky Krumlov.We apologize if you did not get a reply to your Expedia message, probably the message notification ended up in the spam drawer, for some unknown reason.As for the parking, our Receptionist has probably advised you to look for the word "bowling" because many navigators do not recognize the address of our parking, so it is the most immediate way to reach it.Normally we only ask for passports from guests of non-European citizenship or if an invalid document is provided at the time of check-in for recognition (for example, a driving licence, even if it is European). These procedures are required by the foreign police and we must follow these procedures.Finally, we apologize if any of our Receptionists seemed "inexperienced" to you. We have new receptionists and will certainly continue their training so that we can provide the best possible service to all our guests.We hope you will have the opportunity to visit us again and we will do our best to improve the quality of the services offered.Best regards

Dear Guest,thank you for choosing our Hotel Růže as your favorite in Český Krumlov and for taking the time to write your review.As you have surely seen, our Hotel is a historical building and the furniture is also related to it.Most of the rooms in our Hotel (as in many other Hotels around the world) are furnished with 2 single beds which, depending on guests' requests, can be joined to have a double bed.The structure of our beds have a frame around of it, so when they are pushed together, there is some space between the two mattresses.To overcome this problem, we have devised a system that allows to have a single large bed (double bed), simply by adding a kind of small mattress (or "thickness", if it get the idea better) between the two mattresses. This is normally solving the issue that you have reported.However, I would also like to inform you that a profound renovation of our Hotel is planned in the near future and we thank you for your suggestions which will certainly be useful in order to improve the quality of our services and increase and improve the satisfaction of all our guests!We hope you can come back to stay in our Hotel soon.Best regards

Upon checkin around 6 PM, porter has already gone home, around checkout porter is too busy to help. We asked for water bottle and were shown a map how to get to the shop to buy it. We asked if they could replenish the fridge and they said since we were leaving today it will be done after we check out. Rooms did not have a king bed and instead we got two twin beds combined together to form a bed. Their parking (non existent) was supposedly full and we were directed to a public parking (10 minutes walk back). Overall they ruined our experience of lovely Cesky Krumlov. Stay away from this hotel.

Dear Guest,we thank you for having chosen our Hotel Růže as your preferred in Český Krumlov and for the time spent in writing your review.Your opinion is very important for us, in order to improve the quality of the service provided to our guests.I am sorry to read that something was not as you expected, during your stay with us, but I would like to inform you that our porter is always at work until 8:00pm but also I would like to highlight that the service provided is a "courtesy service" (given for free) and it's always upon availability.Regarding the water, if you asked where you can buy it, of course the staff have firstly proposed you the water from our "minibar" (either at the reception or at the restaurant), but if you wanted to buy a big bottle of water (we only have small ones) they have shown you the closest shop on the map!Anyway, we truly apologize if there was any misunderstanding in this regard.For what concerns the bed, I would like to inform you that in most of the Hotels around the world the system of the beds is the same (in order to make it as "twin" or as "double" beds, according to guests request).Finally, our parking it has limited space and unfortunately when it reach the full capacity we cannot do anything else than suggest to our guests the closest public parking (again, a courtesy given).Overall, we are sorry if your expectations were not met and we will surely try to improve the quality of the services provided, but you should also consider that we are in a very small and touristic village, where facilities and services are not so "obvious".We hope you will have another chance to visit us again and we will try to provide the best service for you, as we usually do with all our guests.Best regards

Decent hotel in the city centre
We stayed at the hotel for 1 night. Our overall stay was good but the hotel has certain pros and cons Pros: Breakfast was good with lots of alternatives, parking was nearby and at fair price of around 23EUR (almost every where in this town parking is expensive) Cons: The rooms do not have a refrigerator. Also the Wellness center is not part of the property so one has to pre-book the Sauna timings. The swimming pool is small. Overall we would rate this hotel as maximum 3 and half stars.

Never go to this hotel - not even 2 star!
Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Bad service, third floor, no elevator room, smelly shower, old mattresses, overall terrible.
