'What a wonderful and cozy place to stay! It’s a separate cottage from the house with a little sitting area out front in the shade of so many local trees. The room was cute and clean with an attached full kitchen for use. We loved that full privacy from the main house was an option, but the owners were also very friendly and hospitable for lodgers who enjoy the company. 'Tarasand is a beautiful property with a backyard beach that invites the whole family to be outside. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved the sand and lack of surf. The beach bottom is lumpy with some sea grass and sand mounds. We had starfish along the beach everyday, no need to go to starfish city. The North Sound is great for kayaks and paddleboards but good snorkeling requires some travel. The Rum Point reef is in the area. I did miss the sound of the surf.
