Let me not forget to mention the rooms are cozy, impeccable and lovely decorated by Ginny who is true artist. I do plan on visiting this area of the Adirondacks again and the Balsams will be base camp when exploring this beautiful area. »

« Perfect house for a long weekend exploring the Speculator area! Very clean and up to date but still feels like an escape. Walking distance from everything in town and countless hikes and things to see within a 10 minute drive.Very comfortable beds, super clean and functional kitchen with everything you could need. Shower, sauna, everything was top notch. If you've stayed at other places in the Adirondacks, you know some places can be a bit worn out but this is a really well kept property. Owners...

« This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again.
