This was a terrible experience, and Vrbo did not do enough to compensate for it. My partner showed up the day we had this place booked, only to find out that the owner was no longer renting it. Somehow, Vrbo made this place available despite the owner not wanting it available. So my partner was literally left out in the rain and had to beg his fellow conference attendees for a couch to sleep on for the weekend. Vrbo refunded me, but that is not enough for how huge of an inconvenience this was. I should have been refunded and then given some sort of credit for a future booking. Any other company would have done more to make up for this big of a mistake, and If Vrbo doesn’t do more to make up for this, I will cancel my account and take my business elsewhere.
