  • Casa Pergola is een voormalige olijfmolen, liefdevol gerestaureerde boerderij op het prachtige Siciliaanse platteland. Het huis is een korte rit naar de stranden en kustdorpen van de noordkust. Levendig Palermo "Culturele stad van Italië voor 2018" ligt op 30 minuten afstand, en de bergsteden Madonie Mountain zijn een korte rit naar het oosten. In de winter is er skiën in de bergen en mooie nachten bij de open haard die enorm en romantisch is. Sommige voorzieningen zijn onder meer passief met zonne-energie verwarmd zwembad, vloerverwarming en handgemaakte douchemozaïeken in de badkamers. De slaapkamers zijn mooi en comfortabel.

    Casa Pergola is een genot voor zwemmers. Een prive zwembad van 5 x 11 meter hier bij het huis en prachtige stranden met oude torens en dorpjes aan zee liggen op korte afstand. We hebben een grote barbecue en buiten dineren is ofwel onder de olijfbomen, schaduw van de blauwe regen of op ons dramatische dakterras. Een hangmat onder de olijfbomen is de perfecte plek om uw zomer lezen / dutten bij te houden! Kom en blijf, ik garandeer je dat je blij zult zijn!

A spectacular property with a great in-ground swimming pool and a beautiful view of the countryside and Lago Rosamarina. The outdoor covered living room is great for relaxation and the outdoor dining table perfect for al fresco dinners whether you cook for yourself or add on to have Chef Bruno prepare a delicious multi-course meal for you. A real gem!

We just spent 7 nights at Casa Pergola - the hosts, the house, the views, the gardens, the heated pool, the recommendations for local sites and activities were amazing. I can’t imagine there is better home to rent in Sicily. The vistas look like a movie screen. Our party had 6 adults - so nice that each bedroom had privacy and own bathroom. My only wish was that we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful week staying at Casa Pergola. The location is stunning, and the house and facilities that Paul and David have built are incredible. You can tell they have really put their hearts into the house, decor, and the gardens. The outdoor spaces are large and varied, with brilliant views to the surrounding hills and the reservoir below. The weather was great for our stay, and so we spent the majority of time outside making the most of the pool, bbq, and dining area! Paul and David had to be out of town for our arrival, but they communicated well throughout and they kindly arranged for a neighbour to greet us and show us around the house. They were always on hand whenever we needed via whatsapp, whilst also maintaining privacy.As others have mentioned, as you get closer to the house, the access road becomes a gravel/earth track with bumpy and uneven sections. We found this manageable, and worth the effort for the quality of the house, but make sure to get an SUV or high-clearance vehicle and take it slow.If you're looking for a place that's a little more secluded than others, is high quality, and has great facilities, then this is a perfect place to stay. We only wish we could have stayed for longer!

Rural Sicily!

A wonderful family retreat. Paul and David were very responsive to our needs as a large group. We enjoyed the eclectic decor and cozy atmosphere. They also produce the best olive oil from their olive trees. We would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Wonderfully restful rural retreat

Beautiful converted olive mill. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. BBQ and outside dining / cabana next to the pool were ideal and much used. Paul and David were fabulous hosts. Very welcoming and responsive. A great stay!!

Stunning Setting

Paul is A... couldn't be kinder, and an extremely gracious host. Casa Pergola is a true Italian experience. The kids were in the heated pool everyday, thanks to lovely weather, which gave the adults time to relax and enjoy Italian wine and the beautiful vistas. Renting a 4 wheel drive is a must. La sicilia e bellissima!

Relax in Sicily

An amazing villa, full of character and style. Gorgeous outdoor pool and dining area with the most lush plants and greenery , little alcoves and fantastic views of the surrounding area. Inside there is everything you could need with super comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and air conditioning. Paul and David could not be more friendly and helpful in giving great local advice on beaches to visit and restaurants. Didn’t want to leave!

A Sanctuary in Sicily

Our relaxing accommodation for 10 days in Sicily was nothing short than a piece of paradise. Accommodation beautifully renovated with decor that complimented the old style olive mill. Beds exceptionally comfortable! Surrounding gardens a delight to explore. However, our hosts were beyond super! In fact they became like family always there when we needed them while also allowing for privacy. They helped our trip become unforgettable.

Close enough to everything but away from the crowds

15 minutes from the coast in the hills with fantastic 180 degrees views overlooking Lake Caccamo and surrounding valleys. The villa has 3 spacious bedrooms with ensuites and rustic kitchen, dining lounge area with aircon. There’s a great outside entertaining area around the pool. Caccamo town is close and worth visiting. Cefalu and Palermo are also just 30 minutes away.

Relaxation and enjoyment

We spent 14 Days, three married couples around 70 years, on Paul and David's beautiful property in a beautiful Mediterraneum garden and a wide view of the reservoir and an agricultural area. Paul and David were fantastic hosts who catered to our every need while being discreet and extremely friendly, treating us like good friends.The two live nearby and can be contacted at any time.They have helped ensure that the holiday will be unforgettable for all of us.

A Dream Vacation

Wow! An amazing experience. We've traveled extensively and usually stay in vacation rentals. None have been as wonderful as staying here. I don’t even know where to start. We celebrated our 11 day honeymoon in Sicily. Our stay was nothing short of amazing, honestly there are no words to explain the experience, beauty, and hospitality. Mr. Paul and Mr. David are Incredible host. The home and grounds are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It’s truly magical. Every detail throughout the home and grounds is meticulously thought out and curated to create a truly Sicilian experience. The pool and outside area is designed perfectly. We enjoyed our days by the pool drinking wine and nights by the fireside. We ventured out and explored a lot of Sicily. There are several beaches close by and each town has its own feel and vibe. We visited Cefalu, Palermo, San Vito Lo Capo, Temple of Segesta, Taormina, & Mount Etna. We are from Texas so traveling 2-3 hours to see something is not much to us. We highly recommend the winery tours. Bruno is amazing he created the best dinner it was very romantic. You need a high clearance vehicle to get around and explore. We highly recommend and are telling all our family friends you can’t go to Sicily and not stay here.

Spectacular Views and All the Comforts of Home

Casa Pergola is a a rare find: a beautiful comfortable home with sweeping views of a lake and mountains surrounded by olive groves, flowers and fruit trees. The outdoor space is incredible including a beautiful pool and outdoor fireplace and "family room ". The kitchen is great for cooking as well. Paul and David are fabulous hosts and feel like old friends and steered us the right way time and again including having Chef Bruno and Giovanni prepare a gourmet dinner. In all, a wonderful vacation you'll always cherish.

The property is stunning. Paul and David have created a perfect house and garden which made for a lovely, relaxing holiday.Paul and David are excellent hosts, available with help and advice, but equally respectful of your privacy.Each bedroom has its own charm, all are very comfortable and clean.The house is well stocked with everything you could need, from spare deodorant to herbs and spices. Having the option of a meal prepared and served by Bruno and Giovanni is a real treat, we had a lovely dinner to celebrate my 50th. Do ensure you have an SUV and purchase the extra insurance as the “road” to the property is very bumpy, but it adds to the experience! The pool and outdoor lounge area are stunning. Gecko watching in the evening with a glass of wine was bliss! A simply perfect holiday location!

The most amazing Home!!!

The property made our trip A+++. The Owners are super attentive, friendly, and love their guests. Bruno our driver/chef/guide became family. We were able to experience Olive oil pressing, 1k year old winery, Greek ruins, hot springs, amazing food and sights in Palermo & Cefalu. The Castle of Caccamo all within >2hr driving distance from the home. The Home is amazing you feel it is 300yrs old with modern amenities. The attention to detail is superb. We will absolutely be coming back.

Exceeded my high expectations

We couldn’t be happier with our stay. The home is beautiful, charming and unique, the setting divine and the owner anticipated our every need and then some. Were it possible to give 10 stars, I’d give them in every category! Caccamo is well located to explore the whole island (but it is a shame to leave the home) and the owner, who speaks English and Italian, knows Sicily and its most beautiful spots and is happy to point you in the right direction.
