The listing is a bit misleading, posting as a 5-bedroom when, in fact, it is a 4-bedroom with 2 queens that can be separated with a shower curtain. That does not make it two bedrooms. It is large, it is clean, and we made it work. They need to work on the technology a bit, as the TV in the main living room is not properly set up, and the WiFi never connects. 1st world problems, but not items we should have to ask about.

Lovely property. We gathered for a family Christmas, four separate families with kids ranging from 7-15. The home is spacious and had plenty of room to meet our needs. There is so much space!! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we could need. We loved the retro decor and it was neat to have the Christmas decorations for our celebration. Host was very communicative. Overall a great stay for us. Highly recommend!

My family (ages 61 down to 3 months) were in Grand Rapids for a wedding, and stayed longer to celebrate Christmas together. The house had toys, high chair and pack and play for the babies, and was clean for the toddlers to play on the floor. The toys and children’s’ books were so appreciated. The house was large to give everyone their space, but so cozy and comfortable for us to be together. The Christmas decorations were so fun! The kitchen had everything we needed and a nice coffee bar. The heated floors are the “bomb”It is close enough to everything we needed but was so nice in its rural location. There is room outside to run around.Valerie and Diane were very responsive and accommodating. My family was so appreciative!”

The Barn is simply a wonderful place. Comfortable, clean, spacious, well-maintained and well-stocked with lots of little extras. We very much enjoyed being able to eat together at the large dining table. The hosts, Diane and Valerie, were immediately available to answer any question with a phone call but other than that we never saw or heard them. When I arrived on Friday evening, Diane was salting the driveway and sidewalk. The driveway was also plowed immediately after the snowfall. The Barn is a great place for a cozy family gathering!

Unique, fun and spacious area for multi family gathering. Although it feels very off the beaten path, the city people found it easily and appreciated the proximity to shopping and retail, as well as Grand Rapids and everything the city offers to do. The people coming from farm areas were not overwhelmed by city..best of both worldsThe rooms are large and spaced well enough that no one feels right on top of anyone... dining table for 10 is great!Would definitely book again!

Great place to stay! This was our 3rd year staying here for our shopping getaway. Valerie and Diane are great hostesses who are very responsive to any questions. We are already planning to go back next year. We have 6 women in our group, a couple of them who wouldn't do well with stairs or regular bath tubs. This place has all the bedrooms on the main floor, a large living room to hang out in and a huge dining room table for playing games. Super convenient to the majority of the stores we love!

Very spacious house with room for everyone in our group of 9 adults. Nice outdoor area for enjoying the views and wildlife. The home is welcoming, relaxing, and has all the amenities you can ask for. We will definitely book again if we visit this area of Michigan.

This is our second stay at Barn Swallow and it met all our needs and more. Beautiful back yard with porch to sit in and watch the wildlife. Saw deer, turkey, blue birds, barn swallows, and hawks. Special this year was the sand hill cranes! Nice and spacious, wonderful kitchen, beautiful decor. Owners are very responsive to needs or concerns. We will be back!

Perfect Stay – Peaceful and Perfectly Located!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this property! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed and more. The attention to detail in the amenities was above and beyond – it truly felt like a home away from home.Communication with the owners was excellent throughout our stay. They were responsive, thoughtful, and clearly care deeply about providing a great guest experience.The location was perfect for our trip. Nestled in a peaceful countryside setting, we were treated to stunning sunrises and sunsets each day – such a relaxing environment. At the same time, the property was ideally situated for daily adventures to Grand Rapids, Holland, Saugatuck, and GVSU. It was the best of both worlds: quiet and serene, yet close to everything we wanted to explore.We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would absolutely return in the future. Very Clean

Very clean and large, well-stocked with lots of equipment so it was very comfortable. Handicap-accessible. Be aware there is a second floor that other people stay in, but access to both units is thru a common foyer and there is a security door into the first-floor unit.

Birthday trip

The property was very clean, and well stocked with a lot of things you may need. Although something that i really think should have been mentioned in the listing is that it seems people live upstairs. Not knowing this beforehand was shocking, and made the stay a little bit uncomfortable, even though we didnt come into contact with them. Also there are insturction signs for every little thing in the house, and that made the place a little less welcoming.

We were surprised how well stocked the kitchen was with pots and pans. We had a wonderful time. Our teen girls youth group enjoyed cooking, watching princess bride, playing games, and telling stories. We all wanted to stay longer! Thank you Barn Swallow for a delightful stay.

Without a doubt this is one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Everything was very clean, clearly labeled, simple instructions to follow, the CUTEST decorations, and stocked with literally anything that you might possibly need. The beds were comfy, the floors were heated so cold feet in the winter time was not a problem, there were so many little touches that were well thought out and just gave ease and comfort on every level. The views of the property were beautiful. I hope to stay here again in the summertime and enjoy the sun room more and possibly bring my dog. You know how generally there is always something you would improve at a place you pay to stay? Just an adjustment you would’ve made or a preference you would’ve had? This place was perfect. I wouldn’t change anything about it, I wanted nothing more, everything was provided that I could possibly need and the overall vibes and decor were my favorite thing. The hosts Valerie and Diane were a pleasure to communicate with and so sweet. I can’t thank them enough for this wonderful stay!

Excellent stay for a wedding weekend

Our son got married at Railside and this place was perfect for our stay. So close to the venue and we enjoyed a great dinner one night in downtown Byron Center. Also walked the Kent Trail a few times which was beautiful! Close to groceries, gas etc. Property was beautiful, spacious and clean. Groomsman stopped by on their way to the venue and enjoyed a nice lunch. We got subs from the catering menu at Subway in town. They were so nice and helpful and it was really good! Excellent stay. Would highly recommend!
