Cottages in Burton-in-Kendal

'On arrival we was greeted with a strong smell of damp. There was a lot of spiders and dead and live wood lice all around the house. The live were taken outside and the dead were sucked up the very doggy smelling vacuum cleaner. The sofa smelt of dogs and the sink had stuck on food remnants and dead wood lice. The only good points were: the bed was comfy and the nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco. Would we recommend and stay again? Unfortunately no.'

'It’s a 10/10 for me. Clean, spacious and it’s got everything you need during your stay. Location is also superb.'

'Had a lovely time at Cross cottage. It was a lovely quiet location but only 5 min drive to Kirkby Lonsdale for restaurants pubs and shops. Great for all the Yorkshire dales hills and villages. Garden to the cottage was well maintained and relaxing. Good Wi-Fi and free sat too. Shower was super powerful . Always a bonus. Only improvement would be curtains over French doors now the darker nights are coming back for added privacy and cosy feel. Would definitely book again n this cottage and this...

'Had a lovely time at April Cottage in Settle'

'Wonderful set up at The Lodge. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family break. All the mod cons, particularly liked the electric window blinds. Kitchen facilities was excellent and more than adequate. We also took our own coffee machine for that extra home comfort. Location was pretty central for the places we wanted to visit. Windermere was only 40 minutes away with stunning views of the country side on route. Hot Tube was a lovely touch and well maintainedAll in all a lovely break away...

The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...
