'We loved the red jacket before it burned down! The townhomes were a good alternative! Everything was great. Staff was friendly and indoor water park was perfect . Air conditioning was a little tricky to adjust but overall worked good. I would recommend and stay again although I can’t wait until renovations are completed for the red jacket hotel so the atmosphere on the grounds is what it used to be. '

'Charming place to stay within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants that I will be returning to! Good size property for your dog for the quick pees in between walks (please pick-up after). The living space revolves around the fireplace which is perfect for winter stays. 'This home was very comfortable!! Loved the open floor plan and space to be able to spread out. My family had an amazing thanks giving dinner here, kitchen accommodated everything, even had a foil turkey pan awaiting my arrival!! Perfect!! My only complaint was sink drainage was very sluggish, had to wash dishes by hand because when I filled dishwasher and started it, It started quickly leaking all over floor. Other than that our stay was amazing!!! Had a great time!!'

'What a perfect lake front cottage! This cottage was super clean, and stocked with all of the basic needs (paper towels, TP, bath/beach towels etc). 'It is rare to find a place that is even better than the pictures show, but this is one of those rare finds. The property owners have really taken time to make this feel like a home away from home - extremely clean and everything you could need is there for you. We will definitely be coming back.'

'Story Land was the primary destination during our stay, and the cottage made travelling there quick and easy. It was also a breeze going to Schouler Park by way of back roads. The typical traffic congestion on the main road had no impact on us during our stay. The cottage itself is super clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed for the night we cooked in. We never felt cramped, especially with the large playroom towards the rear of the cottage. We won't hesitate to book again. ...

'Paul is a wonderful host and the house is fantastic. Our teens loved playing air hockey and ping pong with us and we had several “tournaments” during our stay. The house has everything you need and being able to relax in the spa at the end of a long day hiking is wonderful. We hope to be back soon. '

'Incredible location, close to Storyland, downtown North Conway, Echo Lake, and down the street from Cranmore. The backyard/grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, and we loved using the hot tub and fire pit and looking out at the mountain views. There is a lot of space and the house seemed sound proof, which was nice since we were with family and kids ranged from age 2-10! The library was so cozy. The beds could use an upgrade, but otherwise everything was perfect! '

'House was as great as advertised. House was clean and everything worked like it should. Only complaint is that the kitchen range had its numbers scraped off. We could not tell which burner was controlled by which nob and if it was cooking on high or low. '

'My stay was great. Just a couple of things.. there is only a double bed w a bunk above in the second bedroom. Not the other bed, like in the pictures. It was fine for us, but just an FYI. There is a wall ac unit that works very well, w remote. It took a little bit to figure it out, tho. It wouldve been nice to have an info packet on how to use that, n also the fireplace remote. And local places to go.Very close to a general store, little further (20 min) to a walmart. A map to get in and out of...

'This was our second time at this property. It is a beautiful place to stay and the downstairs addition was an incredible bonus. Lots of space for our large family. The host is quickly responsive to any questions. We definitely will be returning. '

"Our experience was a mixed bag. Check in was good; the British lady was lovely and friendly. The room was nice and spacious and everything was clean and functional. However, the floors are made of wood and carry a lot of noise. We had a family with small children staying in the room above ours and it was like a herd of elephants was stomping around up there. The pool and hot tubs could do with a good scrubbing. The water in the pool was mucky and not very inviting. All went southways however when the fire alarm sounded a 7 AM in the morning. All the guests left their room and gathered outside but THERE WAS NO STAFF IN SIGHT. No one told us what was going on or what we were supposed to do. When we made a complaint about the poor communication around the fire alarm when we checked out the guy at the counter didn't even bother to look at me. It was a very disappointing ending to what otherwise had been a pretty decent experience. Do better! "
