My stay at The Sessions Hotel, Bristol, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. While the staff was okay, the overall experience did not meet expectations.
When I arrived at 3:45 PM, I was told no rooms were available and that they were still being cleaned, even though check-in was at 4 PM. I did not receive my room until after 5 PM, which was frustrating after traveling.
The room itself was not properly maintained. It was not clean, the radio clock was missing a knob, the bathroom ceiling was warped, and the TV was mounted crooked on the wall. The television channel selection was also very limited. Parking was inconvenient, and the location was not ideal for our needs.
Breakfast was another major disappointment. Not only did we have to pay for it, but the food was awful. There was also no vegetarian menu available, even though I had read prior to booking that vegetarian options were offered. We ended up throwing the food away and eating at a nearby casino instead.
Additionally, there was no onsite spa or gym, which would have added value to the stay.
Overall, this stay did not reflect the standards I expected, and I would not choose this hotel again.
