The Space:
Jacaranda Mews by Tiny Away sits in the quiet town of Samford Valley. The farm stay is set on a private, 5,000 sqm fenced property and offers direct access to horse trails along the South Pine River, along with a fresh garden setting for relaxation.
Enjoy a scenic drive and create your own adventure by exploring local attractions such as Mount Coot-tha, Mount Glorious, Mount Nebo, and the Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre.
This 139-square-foot tiny home features easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.
NOTICE TO ALL: Due to uneven terrain and unrailed steps, the cabin is not wheelchair-accessible or suitable for guests with mobility issues.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny home and the surrounding area. Please do not enter the barn or main house. For your safety, please take note of the following:
- The land gets muddy when it rains.
- Don’t drive past the visitor parking sign.
- A steep embankment lies 60m away—off-limits.
- Expect a 100m walk on uneven grass—waterproof shoes recommended!
The Neighborhood:
Jacaranda Mews by Tiny Away offers a unique farm stay experience just 40 minutes from Brisbane, in the scenic Samford Valley. Part of a collection of holiday homes, this cabin offers access to nearby walking trails, cycling paths, and beautiful Queensland landscapes to explore.
Just outside Brisbane, Mount Coot-tha offers sweeping city views. Mount Nebo is great for bushwalking, with trails like Boombana Walk and views from Jollys Lookout. Mount Glorious is full of rainforest charm, art, and a cosy café. For wildlife lovers, Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre showcases Queensland’s native animals and natural beauty.
Getting Around:
By car:
- The stay is 3 kms to Samford Village.
- From Brisbane CBD, it’s a 35 minute (26 kms) drive.
All are reachable by both 2WD and 4WD.
By public transport:
- Guests can catch a train to Ferny Grove Train station and catch an uber / taxi from there to the tiny house.
Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is not available
- Pets are not allowed
- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- No smoking allowed on the property
- We have livestock (and noise) onsite
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Vodafone has weak signal while the rest has no signal
- We have 2 bicycles free to use to get around the property
- Expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality
- Keep a safe distance from farm animals as they are easily agitated
- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows, and lock doors when leaving
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- There is a 100-meter walk on the lawn over uneven surface, from the car park to the house
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
