« The hotle was clean, warm and peaceful, lovely big room with a beautiful bathroom. Close to the shopping areas and the train station. »

« The common area was clean as was the linen. Staff was non existent did not realise was a self service accomodation. Parking was there but I did not need it. The room carpet could do with shampoo and the cupboard with dusting . The bathroom fixture though looked new could do with upgrade.. . »

« This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay . »

« Check-in was easy, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small with stains on the carpet and marks on the wall - not great. Evening meal was very good in terms of quality. Not great was serving time and overall state of chairs and tables. Chairs were absolutely uncomfortable and tables wabbly in restaurant and breakfast room. Parking was OK, but road into property is full of potholes. »

« Stinky room with smell of fungus, strange check-in questions - declarations for lost items and asking for taking photo of ID. Breakfast - just brought plate without asking what I actually want to have for full English?? This place is not good - cannot recommend. One bright spot was easy parking. »

« Excellent hotel with good bar food and restaurant options.The staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Next to good hiking trails in the beautiful Ribble Valley Only downside was the rooms on the ground floor get some noise from creaking floors from the rooms above. Last visit was particularly bad because there was a wedding reception so the noise from the floor above went on very late. »

« I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good night’s sleep in quiet surroundings, as the hotel is located in the...
