This is a good unit for its price. The issue was that the front door did not really lock and when the other unit hosted a huge party, we found people pushing our door open and wandering in. We ultimately barricaded the door with furniture, but it really was a problem.

Do not book this place, there was a strong chemical odor in addition the musty smell from the carpets. In addition to this I disclosed to the host that I had someone traveling with me that was disabled and had difficulty getting up stairs. I asked the host about this who only shared there was one set of stairs, not disclosing that it was a long narrow stairway. Nor was it pictured on the original posting. The host only gave a 10% refund when we said the conditions made the place not habitable for the week and that we needed to leave to find another hotel. He was not understanding of this and I am very disappointed. Do NOT book.

The listing was technically accurate but here’s some things to know: there’s only window AC units in the bedrooms so on a hot day (90’s when we were in town) the kitchen and bathrooms were uncomfortably warm. There’s only a one lightbulb fixture in the main bathroom so using the bathroom at night isn’t ideal, very dim in there. The stairs are plentiful and a little sketch. Outside stairs are crumbling in places. First floor only has the small living room so you have to climb the narrow spiral staircase to get to the main living area (3 of 4 bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms). I’ve never rented a property with such sparse amenities. Kitchen had one roll of paper towels which of course we ran out of, salt, pepper, and cooking spray, that was it. No laundry detergent for washer or anything else. One trash can in the entire place, in the kitchen. Host never replied to any of my messages until hours after we checked out; we stayed 4 days.
