Klettur is a perfect base for your Icelandic holiday. A memorable day at Snæfellsjökull National Park, visit a natural hot spring like Deildartunguhver, amazing waterfall like Hraunfossar, active volcano like Grábrók, crater like Eldborg, historical viking landmark like Reykholt or take a walk into the glacier Langjökull. Stroll through the nearby cozy town of Borgarnes and drop by the cafes, museums, shops, and restaurants. Take a drive to the capital Reykjavík with all its glory, nightlife and culture, a day trip on the Golden Circle and see the exploding Geysir with all its natural power, drop by Thingvellir national park with all its nature phenomenon and view, close up, the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall. In the evenings you will always come back home to this cozy cottage in Brókarstígur and the first thing you might do is, relax in the hot tub and enjoy the views or the Northern Lights in the peace and quietness after a memorable day.

The cabin was built the traditional, Icelandic summerhouse way. It is well constructed and insulated. It is warm and cozy all year-round with all the necessities and comfort. The house has an open kitchen-living room area. In the kitchen is all the tableware and equipment you need for cooking, baking, and serving a lovely meal. The living room has a great corner sofa, a large flat screen TV and films to watch. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with great quality beds. Free WIFI.

On the large terrace is a nice hot tub that fits up to 6 people, barbecue grill and comfortable outdoor seating. The terrace is perfect for making a good meal and relaxing in the peaceful environment. Beside the house is a grass lawn which is surrounded by nature, ideal for kids to play.

We have been connected to Borgarfjörður since childhood and would like to share good advice and information about the house or the area so don´t hesitate to send us an email request about anything you would like to know and we will do our best to help you.

A very nice, modern and cozy house in an amazing location
The very friendly owners of this house offer you one of the nicest places to stay in Iceland. The views are amazing in all directions! You really feel away from the busy world. The interior is new, clean and modern and very cozy. It's weird, but it looks and feels bigger on the inside than the outside might tell you from the pictures. It has all appliances you could need and (very) good WiFi. The beds are awesome, so is the Jacuzzi outside on the deck from which you have a great view on the eastern mountain range. For shopping there is a good supermarket only 15 minutes away in Borganes. Drive time to Reykjavik is about 1hr. We didn't regret our choice for even 1 second! We will most certainly come back! Beautiful and Private Home
This host was extremely well prepared and communicative weeks before check-in. They were very accommodating of any needs we had and even provided a convenient packet of information about the local area. The home is beautiful, clean, and private. The hot tub was also very clean always hot. The bed gave possibly the most comfortable night's sleep I've had since I was a baby. We will keep this host in the front of our minds for the next time we travel to Iceland.

Quiet cabin!
Enjoyed our Klettur cabin stay. Had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Had a little bit of trouble with the gate, but as another guest had mentioned, we had someone from the states call the provided number and it worked to open the gate. I was able to call the owners and others within Iceland without issue. But, for some reason, the number we needed to call for the gate would not work. That was our only issue. Property was as described and the area is beautiful. Would stay here again if we ever get the chance to come back!

Close to Secluded
This place is far enough from town to be secluded but close enough that you can run get things when needed and easy to get to the attractions. The pictures were don't do it justice as the place is just fabulous. The hot tub was a great treat after long days of sight seeing. Will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking in this area. On the return trip list!

We loved this house! Exactly as described, everything you need in a gorgeous house. Instructions were well laid out to make everything easy to use. Loved the hot tub and the view was amazing.
