Amazing log cabin

Amazing log cabin in a perfect location 16 minutes away Blue Ridge Downtown. I truly recommend! My daughters loved it! Playroom is awesome. Super comfy! And the host Ashley supported us all time .

The house was fantastic and Ashley was a wonderful host. 10/10 would rent this property again.

Weekend trip for MLK with friends. We spent some time in downtown Blue Ridge, but spent most of our time at the house. Amenities were great - hot tub, fire pit, games, etc. Ashley was very responsive and wonderful to work with.

Amazing Vacation

Everything about renting this property was fabulous. Since the time of the booking, the communication with the property manager. The cabin itself is immaculate. We went to Georgia 6 years ago. The cabin was so beautiful. Foxfire Estates impressed us. Kitchen really well equipped with all that we could possibly need. We bought our food, seasoning., etc, but there are some in the kitchen cabinets. The cabin is beautifully decorated. The beds are so comfortable. Good Wifi . We never had problems making phone calls or connecting to the internet. We spent a lot of times at the deck playing Dominoes. The pieces are all mixed up but we got a new Domino’s game from Walmart. The roads are all paved. No problem getting up there. The only thing I would suggest is a screen around the hot tub patio. But , everything was sooo beautiful that my rating would be more than five stars if I could. We really love it there. We highly recommend it . Thank you so much!

Summer vacation

We have never stayed in the mountains and the view cannot be beat! We were all very pleased with this house and the accommodations. My teens were happy for their own space and privacy. It was nice to have all the streaming services on the TV. The sectional in the living room is broken so beware of the projectile sticking up in it. I would have assumed it would have been replaced by now. The dishwasher wasn't working but Ashley was incredibly responsive and got someone out immediately to fix it. We should have reached out to her the first day when we noticed the dishes were all dirty. That was our mistake. I guess the people before us didn't notice? All in all, it was a great place. The drive-in was 10 minutes away and Grumpy Old Men brewery was super fun. We also ate at The Dogwood and it was pretty great. We are from Chicago and are used to excellent food and service and this one did not disappoint. Most of the activities we did were 60-90 min away. Helen, GA was one of our day trips along with Amicalola Falls. We rated this house 5 stars. Aside from the dishes, everything was pretty clean. The icemaker didn't work so we bought a bag of ice. So don't forget that if you need ice!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

We stayed here as a break from our houses during quarantine. This cabin was great and we didn't want to leave. My daughter said this was her favorite vacation ever. Make sure to follow your GPS carefully as it is really tucked away in the woods, which is great by the way. The views are beautiful and the swing on the upstairs porch was so relaxing. Beds were comfy, hot tub was relaxing and the fire pit was great. The screened in porch was key. Let us enjoy being outside without being attacked by bugs. My only place for improvement would be the couch. It's big and comfy but has a mental piece sticking out the back which was a little dangerous with a 2.5 year old running around the house. We left something behind in the house that was of value to us and we were able to get it sent to us which was a great relief to my father. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for family vacation

We stayed at SonRise Retreat as a group of 5 adults and 3 children under 5 and the cabin was in impeccable condition and had everything we could’ve possibly needed. We can’t recommend it enough and will definitely stay again.

Getaway with friends

Two of my friends and I rented the property for a long weekend getaway. We each had our own bedroom on a different level so there was plenty of privacy. The kitchen was stocked well and everything we needed was there. Each night we built a fire down at the fire pit and roasted marshmallows. We played pool and we made use of the domino table on the back porch. I would recommend shopping for groceries at Ingles because it is a phenomenal store.

Wonderful weekend away

We had our four teenagers with us, who unanimously agreed it was a great cabin and fun weekend away. It had everything we needed and was just what we expected. The only regret was that we didn't stay long enough! We enjoyed the pool and foosball tables, boardgames, Pacman game, hot tub, firepit, and relaxing at the cabin. We explored Blue Ridge, an escape room, the apple orchard, and Long Creek Falls. The cabin is very private, yet convenient to all the necessities- Ingles grocery store, drug stores, etc. The kitchen was well stocked and there was even wood at the firepit. We did get more wood just in case but didn't need it all. Communication with Ashley was great! They have a good team and we appreciated both the management and the cleaning staff for making us feel welcome.

Long Labor Day Weekend

The property was great, the kids loved the fire pit and s'mores. The hot tub was relaxing. However, the AC unit broke during our stay and we roasted during the rest of our visit. I communicated to the property manager that it was 82 and rising inside (we had a newborn with us) but unfortunately due to the holiday weekend there wasn't anything that could be done.

Beautiful mountain log home/family memories

This entire property is gorgeous. The mountain views, hammock, awesome fire pit, sparkling jacuzzi, and abundance of family games (including Pac Man) made our stay special. We were 2 couples, 4 teens, and 2 school-age kids. The basement has a pool table and foozball table which all ages enjoyed. The basement level also holds a Sofa bed which fit 2 smaller teens, near the pool table. There was a ground level, unscreened area where the jacuzzi sits. Warning: we encountered 2 scorpions beside the jacuzzi so watch your toes. The basement level has 1 Queen sized bedroom (comfy bed) which fit 2 teens perfectly. The laundry room and a full bath are also on the basement level. There’s a huge storage closet there loaded with extra sheets, towels, toilet paper, trashbags, etc. Up the stairs to the main level, you’ll find a large kitchen, a Queen sized bedroom, a full bath, dining room table for 6, and a L-shaped couch. 1 schoolager slept there. This is beautiful, bed was comfy etc. but note there is not a TV in this room. Off this level is the massive screened deck with a table seated for 8, a table to play board games, 2 rockers, and a couch sized rocker. Off of this porch is the grill that overlooks the huge fire pit. Warning: directly to the right of the grill, a log is loose and my 120 lb teen leaned against it and we learned it was broken. I texted a pic of it to the manager on day 2 when we noticed it. Hopefully it’s fixed for the next guests as it’s a large distance to the ground if someone were to lean on it and fall through. When you walk up the stairs to the top level, there’s a balcony area with a sofa bed (full sized, fits 1 person), a built in computer desk, and shelves. To the right, there is a huge king-sized bed (comfy) with 2 large closets, built in drawers, etc. This is the master bed/bath with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. This opens to a smaller screened in deck with a hammock and a couple rockers. Best views of sunrise and mountains from here. Everything in this house is high quality and decorated lovely. BUT, for a place of this caliber I would have expected it to be cleaner on the main level. The floors were quite dirty and there was a large ant infestation in the main floor bathroom, the kitchen, and the master bathroom. We texted and sent pics to the manager who stated that no one was available to exterminate until the week after we left. Their was bug spray there and we bought our own ant traps but they’re still there.

Great experience and stay!

Working with Ashley was great. She was extremely responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. When the weather was looking like it might be bad first thing in the morning, on the day of checkout, she let us know that safety was the main priority and we were able to check out a couple hours later to ensure the roads were safe to travel. We will definitely stay here again. The house and Ashley were great!

Well built, lovely cabin & exquisite location and setting.

First impressions were impeccable, great layout and lovely rooms. Amenities were on point and attention to the details was apparent. Ashley was a true pleasure to work with and a joy to correspond with. I sincerely look forward to a future visit and as an architect would recommend this cabin as the premier property for a group of 10 or less to stay at in the Blue Ridge area.
