'Genuinely a nice place, extremely well presented. Both the bed, and the chairs in the lounge area, are comfortable (a nice change from some of the places I've stayed at). The owner, Bruce, is a very affable guy, and I'm happy to recommend this place for a quiet getaway.'

'The spa pool was a big disappointment. It’s an outside, plastic, Bunnings style. Water was dirty. Internally, very comfortable but not as clean as necessary. The curtains are hanging off the rods in places. 2 ladies staying for 3 nights but only 2 coffee pods provided. Hair in the shower and no electric blankets. Oh dear. '

'The cottage was lovely & cosy'

'The kitchen had everything req'd,however, the pots and pans probably need to be replaced as the coating on the items was breaking down so they have reached their use-by date. We had a great stay even if only for 2 nights and the only problem we had was with the hairdryer-or the lack of one even though it was listed in the amenities. Other than that we really enjoyed the cottage, the animals and the location which was excellent for visiting most of the Southern Highlands area.'

'The house is spacious and light with large living areas and a deck with lovely views. The heating worked very well warming the house throughout. The garage has internal access to the house, however my car did not fit. Due to a storage cupboard in the garage, only small cars would fit. Plenty of parking on the street though.'

'We had such a wonderful stay at the Retreat. It is a beautiful cottage with everything you need. Cosy and well appointed with gorgeous bedding and a kitchenette. The garden is full with f quaint touches and plenty of birdlife. Close to Bundanoon Pub where we met friends for lunch. Lovely hosts. Perfect weekend.'
