'We stayed at the Apartotel and Suites Villas del Rio for two weeks on our first ever visit to Costa Rica. The continental breakfast along with the made to order options was a perfect way to start each morning. The staff was one of the biggest highlights. The noticeable perk was the security presence and attentiveness to the guests and visitors of the premises. Everyone was incredibly kind and the front desk team went above and beyond. 'Nice stay'

'The grounds are beautiful and the facility was clean and well-kept. Staff members were pleasant. We would actually consider staying there in a different room but the white cabin with the thatched roof was awkward and uncomfortable to the point that we left after one night even though we knew we wouldn't get a refund. You can tell from the photos that some of the description is inaccurate (It's just one bedroom and doesn't have a private pool though there is one pool for all guests to share.) but...

'We staying in the hand-built rustic wood cabin in the middle of blackberries [Mora] in the woods. You need a 4 wheel drive to get down the very steep access road. We left our compact rental car at a house up at the road [for a modest fee] and walked down 2km. The cabin is down a steep forest path. Didn't see evidence of wifi. It's simple and wild. Will not suit everyone, but we greatly enjoyed it. '

'The on-site staff were wonderful. But the room was not ready at check in time. It smelled like dogs. There was black mold on the bed. Super loud traffic noise all night. '
