'I spent my last night in India at the Malabar House in Fort Kochi and it was quite the treat. I was upgraded to the Garden suite and the room was stunning from the fixtures to the artwork. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food was fantastic! The hotel is ideally located just a block or two inland from the harbor and the fishing nets. Gorgeous property. '

'Zuri's outside property is nice with gardens and man made lagoon (as you see in pics) but that'it. Further nothing else which impresses you. This is certainly not a 5 star property. Please do not pay 5* price for the same. The hotel is quite old and you see it everywhere, be it your room furniture, bathroom or even the hotels all day dining restaurant. 'Lovely, well maintained hotel, pool and gardens . The staff committed , knowledgeable and friendly. Dinners in the History restaurant were without exception delicious, especially the First Class Railway Mutton Curry which was outstanding. These were preceded by a visit to the bar, over which knowledgeable barmen preside. All in all, a wonderful stay and the next door ferry was never a problem for us, indeed we think we will miss the throbbing motor which we found quite comforting. '
