' Magnificent plantation style mansion with beautiful surroundings and staffed by very friendly people! Thank you Warner Hall!'

'I loved her antique decorations and homey feel to the property.'

'Our family of 6 (age range 20’s to 80’s) enjoyed all of the rooms and porches. The air conditioners kept the home comfortable and the porches were cozy for those who like it warmer. We liked the convenience of being able to make our own breakfasts and dinners here. Having a grill was a bonus.'

'The host and family were very nice and responded timely to any questions. The property and apartment is beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this for a stay.'

'We had a wonderful stay on the York River and would definitely recommend this house! It was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. The well-equipped kitchen, plenty of room to spread out, and three full bathrooms worked perfectly for our group of five adults. The fenced yard was also a huge bonus for our dog.We especially enjoyed the easy access to the river during the hot weather. The two kayaks, one canoe, and variety of life jackets made it easy to get out on the water, and the views from...

'This house is quirky and wonderful. We loved the old part of the house, complete with a small boat in the living room ceiling! Wonderful things to look at all over the house. The new part of the house has large windows and doors for viewing the York River as the tide ebbs and flows. We loved watching the birds fish for their dinner. We had a snowy egret and a blue heron as well as many other birds. The crabs were fun to watch pop in and out of their tunnels. The kitchen has every appliance and...

'The cottage was perfect for 2 for an anniversary get away. Convenient to Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown without being congested. A number of restaurants in the area. Watching the sunset from the river dock was beautiful every night. Although we only ate breakfast there, the kitchen seemed to be equipped with most everything you need. Although we had no problem, the narrow steep stairs to the bedroom could be an issue for someone with mobility issues. Overall a very nice place to stay if...

'Great property and look forward to hopefully staying again in the future!'

'This is a very comfortable clean home in a nice quiet neighborhood. It’s very close to some excellent restaurants and places of interest. We especially enjoyed the sunroom.'

'Property and water were very peaceful. There are plenty of things to keep everyone entertained!'

'So the parking was a bit hard to find because it was down a side alleyway. When we got inside, none of the beds had sheets on them and the linens in the dryer were still a bit damp. I texted the host but got no response. There was brown stains on the memory foam mat in the kitchen and spider webs in the bathroom that we had to clean. I later called the host because the WiFi password wasn’t listed in the welcome book as written in the Evolve email. You cannot access the bedroom TV at the same...

'great accomodations!'

'I have to say that I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the house. I realize that it is a very large house, but all the same, it should have been cleaned and maintained better for a short-term rental. The owner only supplied one old bath towel and one cheap new wash clothe per guest. No hand towels were initially provided. I contacted the owner and she had towel sent very quickly. The rugs did not look vacuumed, the bathroom rugs were dirty, the shower curtains were mildewed, and...

'This was a beautiful scenic property. Kids all loved the York River! Made for nice family photos. The host okayed my friend being there to visit my family and I, as she is from the area, one of the main reasons for my stay. Brian the gentelman who lived in the apartment next door was kind and helpful and gave us information about the York River. Lucy his dog was also very friendly.'
