'Perfect location, but rooms desperately need renovation. No safety deposit, no refrigerator and nowhere to charge your phone, laptop etc.near beds. Only one power outlet on the other side of the room. Very good breakfast but only 1 coffee machine! Staff extremely helpful and friendly!'

'The location is excellent - so close to the castle and cathedral. There are two very good real ale pubs just down the road and plenty of restaurants nearby. We were lucky enough to get free parking the whole of the week. The weather was hot, so air-conditioning would have been nice, although its a listed building so probably a challenge.'

'The property was next door to a bus stop which was very handy the only problem was the door locking system some times it work's ok sometimes it doesn't id prefer a key system myself??? Technology is okay when it works ok,but not always 100/% per cent reliable ? But otherwise they Hotel was spot on'

'Very comfortable and clean room. Love the claw foot bath tub and the cookies were delicious! A bit hot in the room as there is no AC and the fan has to work overtime. Very close to the cathedral and town center. Breakfast was delicious with good variety.'

'No parking facility for single room occupancy was inconvenient and had to leave car in a nearby exposed housing estate and walk back. Check-in was confusing with key boxes on the wall for each room, but access is via the key coded digital front door lock. The hidden digital locks on the room door handles can be confusing for new arrivals. Room was basic and very noisy at street level, with only wooden blinds that let light in. All TV channels did not work. A budget hotel is what you pay for and...

'Our stay was very good. It was in the middle of the steep hill. So, was a minute walk from Lincoln castle. Around the hotel was lovely boutique shops and cafes. The a Hotel had a coffee shop that served lovely food. We would definitely return to Rest hotel. 😍'
