« The rental was perfect for us -- two bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom (both spacious and comfortable), and a sofa bed in the basement/tv area, with its own full bath. The facilities were beautifully kept, the location along the north shore was convenient to cafes and hiking (with Grand Marais not too far). We arranged to bring our dogs, and they had a great time (the only thing they didn't like is that they're used to runners on the stairs, so going up and down was slippery for them, but...

« Perfect for a solo retreat! I needed some relaxing time alone in the woods (in a beautiful maple forest, no less), but still wanted to be somewhat close to civilization, and this was the spot! I got such refreshing, restful sleep every night in this absolutely quiet, tiny (but airy) playhouse of a cottage, thanks to the super cozy and comfy bed! It was all just so sweet—even if, as I did, you just want to hang out and read as you listen to the rain all day. Grand Marais is only eighteen minutes...
