'The house is, technically, as described but there are a few design issues that made it hard to use. The ladder, which is needed to access the loft, blocks the bathroom door. So if you have it in place for climbing, it has to be moved to open the loo door, then moved back to climb back up again. We have stayed in tiny houses before and found them easier to maneuver around. Which would be fine but at this price it should be somewhat more comfy. Caveat Emptor'

'Southside Harbour Vacations Apartment was a lovely little gem along the Antigonish Harbour. We loved the apartment! It’s a spacious layout with beautiful decor. It was meticulously clean. John and Kathryn were very friendly hosts, they shared lots of information about the area’s highlights and accommodated us with kayaks and a lobster steamer. 'This house sits in the middle of a hayfield, set 500’ or so back from the road. Very quiet, and a secure place to let the dogs play. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, and well-equipped, including heat-pump a/c and an excellent washer/dryer in the basement. The Mabou area is always a treat: grocery, gas station and the Red Shoe Pub (very nice restaurant and music venue) all 5 minutes away. Mabou Mines sandy beach 10 minutes away. 'Excellent place to stay near Guysbourgh. So quiet you can hear your own thoughts and no light pollution so you can see all the stars. Only small issue was people before us had a dog so we had a slight wet dog smell in the apartment but it was dealt with quickly.'
