We were quite happy with our stay at the copper Inn last year at this time, even though the facilities were showing their age and some dis repair. The staff was exceptional.
This year our room was updated a bit and quite comfortable.
Our check-in experience this year was not good .
We arrived at about 10:15 PM and the door at the office was locked with a sign on the window,” back in 15 minutes” and another sign on the door that showed Will return at 9:45.
We waited at least 15 minutes and then called the handwritten phone number on the window note and it went straight to voicemail.
Finally, my wife looked up a number on the website for copper stay and we were reached someone that said they would be right there and that they were just leaving now.
This put us after 11 p.m. and there were no longer any opportunities for take out food at local restaurants as most closed at 11 PM.
After being on the road all day, this was disappointing.
