'This place is special. The cabin is tucked at the end of a long, forested, rhododendron lined drive that runs along a stream. After passing a photogenic old barn, you are greeted with the most charming log cabin, tucked just beyond the two ponds. There is no noise pollution - instead, you'll be enchanted by birdsong and a nightly chorus of frogs. It was exactly what we needed. 'This was a last minute trip and I honestly didn’t have a whole lot of time to look at the listing before I booked it. I saw it had a hot tub and zip line and enough space for my family and that sold me.Check in was explained clearly. I did take a screen shot of the check in email, so I would have the information with us (we did not have cell service, so I was glad I did). 'We stayed at the home while getting our son settled in as a freshman at Virginia Tech and also spent some time enjoying the area. It's an older building in a rustic setting, but the home has been updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The nearby creek is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.'

'So much potential with this one! The cabin was brand new and beautiful. So was the bathhouse. Property is on a busy road with cars and motorcycles zipping by until the late hours. Property manager did not send confirmation until 20 minutes after check in time, I was on the road and couldn’t respond and by the time I got there and realized there was no cell service. 'The place is totally awesome. My family of 10 came in for a wedding from Alabama & Pennsylvania . It had well enough bedding and very large open kitchen with living room concept for all of us to be together. The house her been recently renovated and has beautiful colors and very large bathrooms . My grandkids were able to play in the creek that was in the backyard . We are coming back for another family wedding in October and will definitely try to get the house again.'

'The cabin is quite large, large enough for 3 children, ages 11, 9 and 4 and 4 adults so that everyone had their own space! The lake proximity is perfect and the highlight of the weekend was kayaking. There were 4 but we could have used one more so we could all go out together. There were life jackets! The youngest loved the hot tub and it was clean! The kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were comfortable. We would return again! '
