« We had a wonderful stay at Odyssey Villa in Escaleras. The drive is an adventure, but once you arrive, the house and views are absolutely stunning—photos truly don’t do it justice. « The place is exactly as it was posted. A very nice unit clean and comfortable. Several staying there are long term residents and all were very friendly and interesting. A wonderful group of guests. We stayed for 5 weeks and I would go back in an instant. The owner quickly replied to any questions or concerns and has the property maintained constantly. « To start off with I had to file an insurance claim for a refund because we could not reach the property due to a hazardous road in our four wheel drive vehicle . Despite the host telling us the road was fine.We even got stuck and a local had to help us get unstuck . I have been coming to Costa Rica for fifteen years and a veteran of the hilly terrain there.
