Ad says unit is self contained with everything you need. There is a fridge, however the freezer was unusable because it hadn’t been defrosted for I don’t know how long. There was an ice cube tray imbedded in it that couldn’t be removed. There was sufficient crockery however the cutlery was a mash up. 4 dessert spoons 3 forks and one knife. The unit is for 2 people so not sure how 2 can eat with one knife. Info says to keep things clean but no tea towel,only a dust pan and brush for keeping floor clean. The property is old but needs some tlc not really worth the price. There is an office but wasn’t anyone there for the time we were there. The only positive thing I can say is that the location and view was good.

The reception office was not attended at all during our 2 night stay so, grateful we didn’t need anything. The apartment was very dated but it was clean. The location is handy though.

Fantastic views from very large penthouse. Very helpful service. Minor comments: Dated furniture. The interlocking door to the neighbouring room is poorly sealed allowing sounds and smells to waft through. We enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was spacious, great location and had lovely views. Very quiet too. Kate was most accommodating and very helpful. We forgot a few of our personal things and she was kind enough to post them for us.

It was clean and tidy... being an older building it could be described as tired. The upstairs people were unrealisingly noisy with the way they walked around in their apartment. The views from the facility were amazing. Also the proximity to services was very good.

Stayed 2 nights at Leisure Lee apartments in a very small room but that was our choice as we were visiting my daughter who lives next door so wouldn't be using the room other than to sleep in .. if your were considering a longer stay they have larger apartments with what looks like a fantastic view .. our room was very very tired overpriced for what you got but had a comfortable bed and a good shower .. also no signage and a very funny gravel road leading up to it lucky we were using gps ... Bruce the owner was very friendly

Stopover while travelling south
The apartment has views of the coast from the front balcony and the river from the rear of the property. Quite well equipped for a longer stay than our 1 night. There is a caravan park a couple of minutes walk away with a convenience store. The bed was comfortable, bathroom clean but a little more detail needed with general cleaning.

Perfect spot, overlooking the water. Very friendly staff who helped us with everything we needed. The unit was clean and fresh and everything you need.

These apartments are located in a prime location in East Ballina right on the river. Bruce, the owner greeted us warmly and went out of his way to offer a brief tour of the property, including places to check out while in Ballina. Though this is not your "typical" motel, it has all the amenities of one as far as what's in the room. It has a certain charm to it, and getting to know Bruce a little really added to our stay there. When in the area, we will definitely be back.

Our location is not on the ocean but has great views over the waterway on one side. All pictures are genuine.

Numerous signs explaining we couldn't leave the air con on whilst out of the room. It was a very hot day and the air con was not on when we arrived. Made us feel as though we were imposing. Couches were filthy. Cockroaches. And there was not even a small amount of milk for tea and coffee. For $200 a night this was appalling.

Close to everything
Stayed for 5 nights over the January school holidays. The apartments are situated just outside the Ballina CBD, just over the bridge. It's only a short stroll or drive to Ballina's beaches and shops. I was studying at the time, so it was nice and quite, but plenty of nice places to walk or swim when I needed a study break! Bruce (manager) was incredibly friendly and helpful and was there (or only a phone call away) when you needed something. The breakwater wall is just across the road and is great for after dinner walks. You might even catch a glimpse of some dolphins as the sun sets! Sheltered bays are only a few minutes stroll so would be great for families, and don't have to go much further again to find beaches with some swell. Been to Ballina a few times before this, and this has 'taken the cake' in terms of location vs value for money.

Massively over priced for what is on offer. Rooms clean although very dated, fly screen door broken, lock on main door wouldn't work, long way from main part of town. Positive was the rooms were very clean.

Graham & Gail, We do provide tea & coffee satchels as well as ground coffee as starters in our self catering facility. Yes the apartment is up a large flight of outside stairs. It was not raining but there is a hand rail either side of the staircase. The apartment has a great view of the entrance to the river and the ocean. We were able to retrieve the special pillow for you which you left behind.

Awesome stay
Last minute Stopover on Christmas Eve with a 10pm check in. Manager was incredibly nice and took the time to explain some tourist stuff and little hidden gems in the area. Was a beautiful spot with beautiful views. Hope to visit again

Description of room misleading
This hotel was very disappointing. The room that I paid for was not as it was described. It was not a studio and it was not an apartment. The room was tiny outdated and unsatisfactory. No wonder the property is on the market.

The manager was very friendly and informative. At first when I walked into the room, it looked quite nice and the view was lovely but then I went to make a cup of tea and realised I had paid far too much for this room . I had to first mop the floor with a dirty mop as my feet were sticking on the floor, then had to clean the sink in the kitchen and the bathroom sink also, I didn't clean anything else or I would have been there all day cleaning, I paid double the price than I did on the Gold Coast with an ocean view and I was extremely disappointed. I think the place is getting a new owner, so hopefully the place will get an overhaul.

Bruce was a lovely host, great local knowledge and very hospitable. Cosy, but clean and across from the Shawy Pub, a nice local haunt overlooking the water. Very nice.

Location with car.
Bit old and tired, but location but location was great, as we had a car. Eastern water Dragons sunning themselves and the beautiful poinciana tree, overlooking the water added to the experience. Fully self contained apartment with helpful friendly staff.
