We stayed at the Linda Grande and overall it was just okay. It’s a very old building that recently reopened after a remodel. There is new flooring and fresh paint, but it feels more cosmetic than anything. The wallpaper was already peeling, the paint in our room was bubbling, and some walls felt soft, which makes you wonder about moisture issues. The hallways and floors are also uneven. “Lipstick on a pig” is honestly the best way to describe the remodel.
The hot water was inconsistent, although it usually came around after running it for about five minutes. Bright hallway lights shined into our room all night through the large gaps around the door. The furniture in our room also felt very cheap and unlikely to hold up long.
The mini-split stayed around 69 degrees and kept us comfortable, but we could not find a way to adjust it ourselves. Anyone who gets hot or cold easily may need to ask the front desk for help.
The website also advertises a rooftop pool, spa and fitness center, but we never saw any of those. It looks like a website template was never fully updated, which is misleading.
There are steep stairs and no elevator, but we knew that going in. The positives are the location and staff. It’s an easy walk to the boardwalk, and the front desk was friendly and helpful.
I can only speak for the room type we stayed in, so other rooms may be different. Based on our stay, though, this is still an old building with a mostly cosmetic remodel.
