« The hotel has seen better days: it's a bit grubby in the corners and the fitments are ageing. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is quite good, but--strangely for an airport hotel--they don't start serving till 7.30. By 10.00 guests are meant to leave the hotel! »

« The host responded promptly to our messages, all instructions were clear and the home was warm for us on our arrival. The space was cleverly planned to have everything you need. The views were beautiful and we were lucky to have dry days to explore Gibside and the Derwent valley. Lovely peaceful location, amenities close at hand. Thoughtful supply of books to read and general information. Very cosy and a tonic for the soul as so restful. »
