Sunrise Apt. - Peaceful Country Setting- Reasonable Distance to Hocking Hills

Located within reasonable distance to the Hocking Hills State Parks. This peaceful country setting is located on a small farm just outside the quaint little town of Tarlton. Surrounded by 16 acres….over half of it is wooded with trails to explore. While here, take time to breathe deeply of Gods fresh country air and enjoy the opportunity to unwind from your daily pressures. APARTMENT: Sunrise Apartment is located above our 3 car garage with a staircase from our garage to enter the apartment. The apartment is a studio type room with a queen bed, a couch, a bookcase, a small table with 2 benches, a fully furnished kitchenette with a bar and 2 bar stools, a bathroom with a tub/shower combo and a bedroom with a full size bed on the other side of the bathroom that also has an entry from the staircase. Linens and towels are provided. Complimentary coffee and a few snacks. OUTDOORS: Farm animals. (Miniature horses, cows at times, Snowball the cat) Backyard Patio with a fire pit and a removable grill. Playground area. Hammock and Dbl. lawn swing. Above ground pool during the summer months. Trails throughout the woods. Another fire pit back in our wooded area CELL SERVICE/TECHNOLOGY: We have Spectrum phones which use Verizon towers - our phones do pretty well. We have free Internet with a password provided. We have Starlink satellite that runs our smart TV (bring your own subscriptions) And a Samsung DVD player (bring your favorite DVDs) We do supply a few family DVDS. But we do encourage a break from technology to totally unwind. ADDITIONAL: Country Lane Lodging also offers another vacation apartment at this location that sleeps 5 with 2 bedrooms. Sunset Apartment is located out in our barn on the far right. (google Sunset Apt. Tarlton, OH VRBO link)
LOCATION:
We are located 45 minutes southeast of Columbus, 20 minutes from Circleville the home of the Pumpkin Show, 25 minutes from Tecumseh (outdoor drama) and 15-20 minutes to Rock House one of the Hocking Hills State Parks. There is a IGA with fuel and groceries, Dollar General with groceries and a few small diners in Tarlton just a few minutes from here. And plenty more to do to keep you busy for a number of days. We absolutely loved the Sunrise Apt. It was even nicer than expected and the grounds were beautiful. Comfy beds, nicely equipped kitchen and a huge bathroom. Everything seemed brand new. As far as the hosts, Phil & Norma are really great folks. Phil even took the time to fix my mom's trekking pole that lost a bolt while hiking in Hocking Hills. Two thumbs way, way up!

I highly recommend Sunrise. It’s cute, cozy, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean! The checkout process was easy. If you are heading to Hocking Hills this little apartment is perfect. There’s a restaurant 1.5 miles down the road with good food and ice cream. Norma and Phil put a lot of thought into creating this place, and the attention to detail really shows

This was such a great apartment for my family of 4. The ponies were a hit with my teens. We spent the days in Hocking Hills Hiking so this place was a perfect location to everything we did! We highly recommend and can't wait to stay again maybe in the summer!

It was exactly what we were looking for! We enjoyed a day of hiking, planned to do a second day of hiking, but after seeing all the property had to offer, we spent our second day relaxing at the house. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the playset & pool. We had so much fun exploring the trails in the backyard with Snowball (the sweetest/silliest cat). The miniature horses were adorable & just added to the relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking for that "middle of nowhere" feel with wonderful hosts, this is your place! Highly recommend!!

This property was beautiful! The apartment was so clean and tastefully decorated. I thought being above a garage it could be hot but it wasn’t at all. And it was incredibly hot outside! Norma was very responsive to any messages I sent. They had a book with lots of information about the area. We had a nice breakfast at a little diner in town with Creamery in the name. Can’t quite remember the name. But it was a good breakfast and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. My only “complaint” if I had one is that it is listed as a Hocking Hills property, but it is nearly 20 miles away. We didn’t mind the drive though because it is a beautiful part of the country and gave us a chance to see the area. And it was so peaceful to be away from everything. A great experience!

The property is gorgeous. Our apartment was perfect and very clean! Excellent amenities down the road. Not a far drive to Hocking Hills! The mini ponies are adorable! The grounds are very well kept and very appealing. My son loved the coffee and snacks.

Country Oasis

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 3 kids, and one infant) had a great stay. The kids loved the pool and backyard play set. There was also a sweet kitten that the kids loved to play with. We could see the horses outside in the pasture from the apartment's window. It was such a peaceful property. We would definitely stay again. Phil and Norma were such great hosts. They were very kind and responsive. Loved it!

Hocking Hill vacation

We enjoyed staying at the Sunrise Apartment while exploring Hocking Hills. The hosts were friendly and everything went smooth. Driving time was 20-30 minutes to most hiking places but the property itself was enjoyable with a fire pit and pool. This is our third stay here if that tells you anything! Thanks Norma and Phil!
