Luminous Sea View 2-bedroom Apartment in the Exclusive Quinta da Barracuda

The cozy and peaceful gated-condominium of Quinta da Barracuda in Albufeira is only 200 meters from the nearest beach (Praia dos Alemães) and a 10 minutes walk from the Main Strip of Albufeira where daytime, evening, and late night entertainment abound.

The quaint Old Town of Albufeira sits just 1.5 kilometers away in the other direction. The beach Praia dos Alemães connects directly to the famous old town Fisherman's Beach (Praia dos Pescadores), which means a sandy 20-minute walk can take you directly to the old center of Albufeira.

As well as a large swimming pool with sunbeds and umbrellas, the condominium has a special beach-access gate along with free front courtyard and underground garage parking.

The apartment is fully equipped with a modern kitchen which includes oven, stove, microwave, fridge, pots and pans, wine glasses, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, iron and board, etc. Each bedroom has large wardrobes for neatly storing all clothing items, and the twin room can be arranged into a single 180 x 200 cm bed.

A flat-screen TV in the living room is set up with IPTV, giving access to channels and broadcasts from all over the world, and stylish and comfortable indoor and outdoor dining furniture make for a relaxing experience when supping in situ.

One bath, hand and beach towel is provided per guest. All beds are dressed with linen appropriate to the season. Extra towels and linen, as well as mid-stay cleans, are available at an additional cost.

Low-cost airport transfers and cot and high-chair rental can be offered on request.

Second time around...

We stayed for four weeks here in 2024, and now again in 2025. Everything was as we remember: beautiful bright apartment with twin balconies for morning or afternoon sun; well-equipped; comfortable; clean; above all, warm, we hardly needed the heating at all - in January/February. A couple of very minor problems at the start of our stay were very quickly and efficiently sorted out for us. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment for a winter stay.

Beautiful, spacious apartment

This apartment cannot be faulted. It was perfect for our four week stay and very spacious for just two people. It is very well-equipped, was spotlessly clean when we moved in and the meet and greet by Jessica was most welcoming. There is beach access a five minute walk away. The two balconies face respectively east and west, so early sun for the bedrooms and afternoon/evening sun for the balcony accessed from the living room and kitchen; an early evening wine watching the sun set - perfect!

Beautiful View but Needs Attention

This condo has a beautiful view of the ocean and a 5 min walk to the beach and is located in a gated area' We were met by one of the property managers who gave a warm welcome and orientation. The Welcome Package, we requested was not present, after identifying that, it was brought in soon after, however, we do not recommend purchasing the welcome package. It's overpriced, grocery stores are close by, the actual cost for those items provided were appr 12-15 Euro, we were charged 30 Euro. We were told Kevin was our POC if we had problems, he'll take care of things immediately. We took a shower, the bathroom floor flooded when the drain backed up overflowed. We called Kevin twice, left a message describing the problem. He called later said he wouldn't be able to do anything until the next day. We told him that was fine as long as he doesn't mind and wouldn't hold us responsible for any damage. He then said he'd try to get there by 4pm. He came while we were out. The shower overflowed the next time we used it. We fixed the problem ourselves. We recommend that you bring toilet paper, minimal provided, soap for showers, none provided. The furnishings were acceptable and comfortable, there are 4 chairs that are safety hazards along the wall by the table. Overall, the location and view outweigh the need for attending to the maintenance issues and need for additional amenities for short-term renters. However, it was clear that additional attention is needed in this apartment.

Wonderful stay at Quinta da Barracuda

The condo had a five star location close to the beach and old town. It was spacious, well layed out and comfortable. Shops and restaurants were close at hand. We thoroughly enjoyed our one month stay and plan to return in 2024.

Absolutely Great!

We rented this unit for a two month period between including January and February 2023. The apartment was exactly as advertised and was very nice. Everything we needed comfortably stay for that period was stocked. Dishes, utensils, pots/pans and dishware was plentiful and in good shape. Additional linens and towels were all on site. The condo is conveniently located within a reasonable walking distance to restaurants, stores and the entertainment area. We were met by the property manager on the day we arrived and check in was extremely easy; Thank you Kevin. A beautiful view of the Old Town and the water with about a 2 minute walk to the beach. The grounds crew were always keeping things clean, trimming hedges, gardens and keeping the property very clean and tidy. We have zero complaints and would recommend this rental to any of our friends or family that want to visit the area. Ample golf courses all within an easy driving distance as well! The restaurants in the area are all decent but overall our favourite was the Sizzling Stone where the management welcomed us on a number of occasions for a great meal every time. We use VRBO quite a bit and this is one of the best places we've found to date!
