« Visiting in my own I stayed 3 nights at Prince Rupert. Fantastic location right in the centre. I had a lovely friendly welcome, the staff at the desk were very helpful. The room is nice, small but very clean tea/coffee making facilities, very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Good breakfasts. I had a couple of dinners at the restaurant - very friendly, good food. My only complaint is the horrible Richard Claydermanish music in the restaurant! Thank you for my nice stay. »

« Absolutely no heating, complained two times, said they reset the boiler but still nothing, had to ask a portable heating device, not acceptable for the prixe of the night. Also didn’t get any hot water in the morning »

« Fabulous period property with so much charm. There were only a handful of people staying, including me, which made for a very peaceful stay. I slept well, and the rooms had great amenities. I would say the rooms felt dated, but this adds to the charm of the property. The evening food was fantastic, and there was a good selection of drinks available. « Fantastic hotel and i will return, but on the two evenings there along with other guests we had to walk to find staff for drinks and there wasnt on numerous occassions anyone on reception. They seemed to congregate in the kitchen area. »

« Simply superb! This traditional B&B, for me, was perfect. Louise met me at the door with a warm smile and showed me to my, quaint, comfortable room. The brass-rail bed was super comfortable and my breakfast was cooked excellently by Peter, the other half of this welcoming (and hardworking) couple. Highly recommend this place when you’re passing through Shrewsbury UK. Robert »

« We had a super weekend, very comfortable, beautifully kept and superb food. Staff and management were very friendly and obviously loved their 'Modern Coaching Inn' Whilst we didn't have any serious complaints, I would suggest when serving a delightful cheese board, a very hot carrot chutney is not a good accompaniment since all the cheeses tasted the same after a blast of chilli! »
