'We stopped in Puntarenas on our way back from the west coast to San Juan. Unless you are curious to see all of Costa Rica, there is not much at all in this area. It's a filthy, poor area with little to offer, even though it is so close to the beach. The hotel is kind of old and tired with an unclean looking pool. Food is mediocre at best. 'Our stay at Casita Sollevente was incredible, the accommodation was very clean, a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, had two out door pools that were great for relaxing in. The complete staff treated us very well throughout our stay. The food and drinks are very good. The short drive down the hill into Montezuma is easy, though you certainly want a car as it is a steady incline from the town up to the resort. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!'

'Thomas was a great host. He was super knowledgeable about area and even drove us to a couple places before we decided to rent a car. This is a hidden gem. We got to see monkeys from our balcony in their natural habitat If you're looking for a quiet romantic getaway, this is it. I do recommend renting a car as things are a bit away. But close enough for day trips. '
