'Perfect place '

'We had originally booked the studio apt for Jan 9 to visit an elderly parent - a family emergency came up and we had to move our visit to as soon as possible - the owner kindly allowed us to transfer the booking to an earlier date, the 5th (the day after my distressed call) at the cottage instead so other family members could stay as well. Owner is not local, so apparently did not know that the cottage was not quite prepared for guests- it was clean, but not stocked and had some repairs going...

'This place is incredible and we were so lucky to have found it! Very comfy and very well stocked. My friends and I were in town visiting the Jefferson pools and were so happy to land here. Amazing hot tub, beautiful stars and a really lovely place to stay. There weren’t any reviews on Vrbo yet when I booked and I’m happy to spread the word and suggest this stay to anyone. 'Our family enjoyed all the rooms & amenities at the house. Everything was beautiful. The pool & kayaking were a hit. Touring the Greenbrier bunker was educational for all of us. I emailed the owner about a couple of things & he responded promptly. A great place for all of us!'

'I would've given the property a higher rating, but the outside property is not what you're going to see that's listed in the photo.. the river is beautiful but...I sent the property manager many pictures of issues beginning with the lack of deep cleaning, especially for the kitchen ovens .. the one in the main house looked like it not been cleaned for a very long time..Our nanny found a sock with a substance in one of the drawers in the basement, and my daughter found dirty towels, and socks in...

'One of the best places we have stayed at! Lovely drive to the place. Lots of nature and wild life and beautiful landscape, I think we saw about 4 deer, 2 geese,1 turkey, and several squirrels on our drive. Loved the big roomy shower with rainfall shower head. Best night sleep in the king sized comfy bed. Would love to stay here again! '
