"This is a conference hotel adjoining a hospital. There is NOTHING nearby. Parking during the day is impossible. Cars are parked along the roads and still no open slots. You must leave the hotel to eat, shop, sight see, virtually anything. If you return between nine and five there is nowhere to park. Uber will drop you off, but reluctant to pick up. "

"At in superb grounds and a golf course, as you drive up the long entrance road and look at the view over the Firth of Clyde you will be delighted. Checkin was quick and the team there extremely helpful. Comfortable room and bed only thing missing is air conditioning as it was a warm night. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet with plenty of choice. Due to the amount of stairs and no lift (elevator for the Americans) to get to the rooms I suspect it’s not accessible to all but there may be rooms...

"The room was as described and the bed was comfortable. My only mild complaint is the hot tub did not work and the hotel staff member at check out did not know how to change the pricing for my stay as they had mistakenly charged me for something. But he was a very friendly man and they worked it out later and my bill was corrected. All around, the stay was lovely and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was also delicious. "
